It tells them that cheaters never prosper unless you are in the NFL.

    Another thing here.

I guess that if a person cheats, that person will be rewarded for it.

This is such a bad move on the NFL.

    Just my .02

They the NFL should have given the Coach of the Year Award to Wade Phillips. He took the Cowboys and made them dominant for the NFC. All this as a first year coach for them.

    Just a fuking joke.

He won't pay the fine out of his own pocket. I am sure that Craft will find some "bonus" to pay him for this year.

They lost a 1st round pick, but they still have the SF #1.

Hell, that wasn't even a slap on the wrist.

    His apology was weak.

Nice message there NFL and AP!

You just put a FUKING CHEATER ON A PEDESTAL !!

The worst part is when Rog turned around and burned all the evidence. Isn't this the same coach who had files on Manning a couple years ago. He is a ****ing cheat at everything. This is a huge slap in the face of every other nfl team, player and fan. I'm sure Brady will win "Father of the Year" next.

As much as it pains me to admit this I do agree with somewhat with MTL
If you take your team to a perfect season you deserve to be the coach of the year, cheating or not.

there you go ant. morty schottenheimer has repeatedly said he thinks the patriots are unbelievable and has never seen as good a team in his entire life which is saying something since he is ancient relative to the NFL. what they have done is unbelievable and while coordinators and assistants come and go it doesn't really matter as belichick is there. the guy is a football lunatic you know how they say men think about sex every 8 seconds on average? the same applies for belichick but with football.

    In what sense
the only concrete case of them cheating was against the Jets. There's been no claims of such from any other team in the league nor is there even any innuendo or anything else that would suggest cheating is afoot. Take it from a legal context - they were caught, they were punished and there hasn't been any evidence which suggests they've done it again. Unless you have enough evidence to prove they are guilty of more crimes beyond a reasonable doubt then claims of cheating in other games have no legs to stand on. My part about 'cheating or not' was a dumb thing to say on my part - if he's been found to have cheated throughout the year then definitely strip him of his awards and everything else. But since he hasn't there's nothing that can be done.

I'm with alot of you guys on how much obsessive love the Pats get, how they are beatable, how they piss us all off, etc ad nauseum. Until someone can find some distinct proof that the Pats cheated, Bellichek took a team to a perfect record and as such deserves coach of the year

    I don't agree.

You many defensive coaches does Belichick have film on? 10? 15? 20? More? We know that this has been going on for over a year and possibly several years. Don't forget he was also caught miking up players illegally to get audibles for future referance.
How long has that been going on? What about video taping your Superbowl opponent's walk-thrus? Plus several teams have complained that thier helmet radios quit working during successful drives at NE. The game is alot easier to manage when you know the opponent's calls.

Coach of the year? BULLSHIT! He should have expelled from the league. That memo that went out before the season was specifically aimed at Belichick. He continued to cheat anyway. The arogant ****.
