Our offense scores point's even when LT was down. We should've won more game if our defense showed up.

    Seriously?
I don't think he'd be an upgrade at all.
    Cower... won't happen.
Phillips... I don't think he could get us to the Super Bowl.

    I want Brian Billick.
With that in mind, I'm also thinking that Maven Lewis will be fired. Bring him in for DC!!! :abq1: :abq2:

    Super Bowl guaranteed!!!! :flag:

I think Marvin did a great job with the Ravens.
Yes, he had a lot of talent to work with but he'll have plenty of talent to work with here too.

Billick and Lewis are a proven winning combination!!!

    :icon_rofl:

You said he was the Defensive mind behind the Raven's D all I pointed out was that Billick has NEVER coach a D poistion or been a DC in his entire career.

He has been a offensive position coach, OC then HC.

B4L was referring to Billick HC and Lewis DC.

Do you need the bouncing ball to follow along too?

he was a good head coach but never brought in the offensive firepower he was expected to, but then again the Ravens never have been offensively powerful. Ironically that would make this team the perfect place to HC. Though he's not my choice for HC or for DC (because again he's never been a DC)

    That's not what I said.

I said Billick for HC and Lewis for DC.
Unless the Bengals finish on a nine game winning streak, Lewis will be available.

    That I agree with.

Billick and Lewis would be a good combo.

You get a HC who knows Offense and has some fire in his belly and a solid defensive coach who knows how to play aggressive D.

    Let's hope for a Lombardi!!!!
If that doesn't happen, let's hope for a Billick and Lewis reunion in San Diego!!!

That = change for change sake, which jes doesn't make much sense in mid-season, IMHO.

Hexed said that Billick was the brain trust of the Ravens D:

That's what Kwak was referring to.

Trust me Bro, you would be one of the last posters I'd bait; too much respect for you. I honestly don't know if Nolan's accessible, or if he'd even want the job if offered.

Billick would be the HC/Play Caller. That is what he did in BMore.

As far as the rest of the staff, who knows. I am sure Billick would have a few of "his" guys on a list plus the usual interviewing of the existing staff to see who would mesh well with him.

Ughh, GFTO with the Briam Billick talk.

    NO MORE RETREADS!

We need a firey, hungry young coach who knows wtf is going on, not some dude who couldn't figure out how to win more than 1 title with the best D the league has seen in the last 20 years.

The interested in the job, is the big question seeing as he just got canned. I am sure the that sting is still lingering.

I do know that there would be nothing legal preventing him from taking the job. Once he got canned, he became a FA.

I am just frustrated watching a D that has so much talent and speed playing this soft "bend but don't break" D. The just sit back and wait for the O to come to them. They are not aggressive. Not attacking. The emotional leader and the fire in the belly persona is done for the year. The D has no heart. No Passion.

vs NE they showed it, but then the Heart and Soul of this D was there to get them fired up and cheer them on. He was not on the field, but they still fed off him imho. Plus it was NE. There is a bit if animosity there and you might say a bit of hate.

Seeing some of the stuff you post in PFXXX, I've come to realize that you're not that much different than me.

I know Bro, I'm jes lookin for viable options, and the ones being bandied about, for the most part, seem flawed, as is flooding Charger Park with a ****-pot fulla emails, IMHO.

And as I've stated previously, making a change in mid-season for the sake of change doesn't make much sense to me.
