    Report: Bills fire Dick Jauron
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 17, 2009 2:40 PM ET
Bills head coach Dick Jauron won't be allowed to finish 7-9 for a fourth straight season.

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports the BiIls have fired Jauron. Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell is expected to replace Jauron on an interim basis.

There was a report earlier Tuesday that Ryan Fitzpatrick was expected to take over the starting job from Trent Edwards despite Edwards being healthy. Jauron was often a staunch public supporter of Edwards, but it's unclear if the quarterback situation had anything to do with the coaching change.

Jauron finishes 24-33 in three and a half seasons as Bills coach.

We'll have more on this story as it becomes available.

TO had nothing to do with this trainwreck... but of course he's already being blamed for it :p

Jauron lost this team last year... they were rolling and just crumbled a la denver broncos. Sad really... they have one of the most loyal fanbases and owners too... hope they can turn it back around.

And my brother is doing backflips. He's been wanting Jauron fired for the past 2 seasons.

This is not TO's fault. Jauron is simply a terrible H/c, end of story.

Yeah, the Bills have had their problems for several years now.

The losses at home on MNF to Dallas last year (remember that one where Romo got picked 5 times?) and earlier this year to the Pats (Bills kick returner stupidly runs it out of the endzone and fumbles, letting New England score game winning TD) pretty much sealed his doom.

funny how everyone wants to talk about this 4th and 2 (which everyone else wouldve gone for in madden) but the bills had a 4th down against houston, down by 7 with plenty of time left in the 4th, and the bills fake a punt. houston scores, game/season over. that was the worst call of the year, i thought hed be gone after that

Sometimes I think that these coaches in this position do this on purpose to just put them out of their misery...Like Lane Kiffen attempting a 65+ yard field goal last year.
