Drew is looking more manly all the time. I'm glad to see he's bulked up a bit.

I'll probably be rooting for the underdog, the Colts.

I'm tired of everyone jumping all over the Saints and Brees' nuts, he was a Charger here for a short time but not long enough for me to root for him (like I would for Harrison and Seau)

After Rivers wins a SB though I won't mind him winning. :abq2:

Seriously? There's not enough people jumping on the Colts' nuts?

And Brees helped bring this team back to respectability.

Granted, LT was a bigger factor but Brees was right alongside him.

Brees wasn't here that long. I'm not emotionally tied to him like some of you guys seem to be.

He's no where near the LT, Harrison, Seau group, those guys played the majority of their careers as Chargers, and were great. It's not like Brees was here for 10 years. Some people act like he's "Mr. San Diego" or something, he's not.

And I haven't seen a lot of people on the Colts bandwagon, it's always like "I really hope the Saints win this game, but the Colts probably will" Seems like everyone (but Colt fans) want the Saints to win.

I don't wish anything negative against Brees, I just won't be rooting for him to win the SB.

He's hardly "Mr San Diego" but he was still a big factor in getting the Chargers back to the playoffs in 2004.

I don't have to think he's the greatest player to ever wear a Chargers uniform to still like him. :icon_shrug:

The media has been all over the Colts' nuts since the day Peyton Manning was drafted.

I just like to root for underdogs and I like to see teams that have never won it before win it.

Truth be told I'd probably be rooting for New Orleans with or without Drew.

Honestly I really don't care who wins, but I don't hate the Colts and I'm not on the Saints bandwagon, that's all.

Everyone doesn't have to root for them.

LT imo was a big part in turning this team around, and if the defense didn't improve (Wade) we wouldn't have made the playoffs. Brees didn't make mistakes but didn't really carry the team or offense, not really his fault but that was the way Marty did things (same thing with Rivers in 06).

Didn't mean to come off as suggesting you have to root for them, just explaining why I am and the reasoning (everyone on their nuts) threw me off a bit because of how much the media loves the Colts.

I was referring to this SB. Everyone is on the Saints nuts for this SB. It seems like everyone wants them to win.

But it's not like I'll be pissed if the Saints win or anything, I don't hate either team.

And you didn't really say anything wrong it's just the local media how they've been all over Brees like he's still a Charger and the Saints are our 2nd team. They're not. Brees isn't from San Diego, at least then it'd make sense.

I guess not being in San Diego and therefore not having to put up with it being pushed in excess has its advantages.

I still like Brees and that's part of why I'm rooting for the Saints, but it's not as though I think he's still a Charger or that the Saints should be every Charger fan's "2nd team" or anything.
