Thanks for the update, Nomadic. (Can the original headline be tweaked to reflect the "not actually a heart attack" shift?)

I won't lie, I wouldn't be too disappointed if he was off attending to his health on 10 November.

But, in all seriousness, as fanatical as some of us are for this game, and our Chargers,
this is Reminder #3,074 that it's just a game…which should always take a backseat to
lives, families, Australian Shepherds & Alpine Lakes (okay, those last two may be me showing my biases).
Really glad that he's going to take this warning seriously, and not try "...to make it to the end of the season."

Best of luck, Fox. The game will be here when you're ready.

    John Fox, only 58?!

Not trying to be facetious, but I imagined him to be older by a decade

Yeah…I'm not sure I'd have gone quite that high,
but, yes, I also thought "He's only 58?!?"

That gig (HC) ages you, I reckon…

p.s. It's bad enough using a $20 word like fahseeshus here, but spelling it correctly really crosses the line, Mister!

What a drag for Coach Fox, get well soon. I always liked Coach Fox and would have been happy if the Bolts had ended up with him.

Looks like he will be out 4 to 6 weeks. So Bolts wont see him until December 12th.

What the Hell kind of world are we living in when an older man can have freakin' heart surgery,
(replacing an Aortic valve!!) and be back in a super-stressful job in as little as 4 weeks?!? Boggles the mind.

If he was getting a stent put in, he could have been back next week. There have been cases where people have felt 100% better the next day after having a stent installed, after having their arteries roto-rootered...

Wishing him a speedy recovery. Rival coach or not, you hate seeing stuff like this happen to a guy.
