Looks like LT isn't the only one that think the Patriots lack class.

Browns guard angry with Vrabel over hit

Steinbach says late tackle of Anderson is 'classless'

By Marla Ridenour Beacon Journal sportswriter

Published on Tuesday, Oct 09, 2007

BEREA: Browns guard Eric Steinbach will no longer put the undefeated New England Patriots on a pedestal after what he called a ''classless'' act by their co-captain, Mike Vrabel, in the waning seconds of the Browns' 34-17 road loss Sunday.

The Browns were trying to score from the Patriots' 10 when quarterback Derek Anderson spiked the ball to kill the clock with 11 seconds remaining. Although the play was over, Vrabel bull-rushed, hitting left tackle Joe Thomas chest-high then slid ing lower. As Thomas staggered, Vrabel's arm clipped the back of Anderson's leg, sending him to the ground.

There was no flag. The angered Browns retaliated. Steinbach shoved Vrabel, and center Hank Fraley pounced on him as the scrum escalated. After the game, several Browns had words with Vrabel.

A Walsh Jesuit and Ohio State standout, Vrabel is in his seventh year with the Patriots and 11th in the NFL.

Steinbach still was hot about the incident Monday but said he had not seen the film.

''Classless. You can quote me on that,'' Steinbach said. ''To dive for a guy's knees like that, to almost take out the quarterback when the game is already over with?''

Yes he is a far more complete player with leadership skills. Merriman and Phillips aren't even close to the asset to their team that Vrabel is.

laugh all you want but vrabel is a champion. his football IQ is through the roof and he comes up with big time plays when his team needs him. his coverage skills are 20 times better than either guy and he doesn't overpursue going for the knockout hit like I have seen merriman do.

How many nominations for DPOY? Merriman was a runaway last year except for the tainted piss test.

Vrabel is a standout in a field of mediocraty.

WTF? I love Poway- lived there 10 years. For the record, my toilet was double platinum plated. :abq1:

As much as I think the Pats are good, all members of that team are considered the worst douche imaginable:

    Super-Quadruple Douche

    Just my honest opinion!

Leisure is jealous cause we live in the same hood as 60 % of the Chargers and Padres players. :icon_tease:

That and we light a fire in the wintertime for the nostalgia, not to stay warm. :icon_tease:

Where else can you run into Tony Gwynn at Taco Bell?

Or run into Gwynn at the old B of A on Poway Rd- those were the good old days. To date myself, I was a few years senior of TG Jr in HS.
