Rice is still a decent player if he is motivated and healthy. At his age, he is probably best as a part time starter or a nickel pass rush guy. Since he would have to move to play OLB for us, and are already set for outside pass rusher, there is really no place for him here.
Plenty of other teams are looking for more pass rushers, so he won't be out of work long, unless he has an inflated sense of worth.

Someone at the SDUT wanted to bring him in as a back up for Jamal.

Beat me to it. The Broncos simply cannot resist castoff defensive linemen.

I meant that I'd rather have him on the team at a younger age. He's in his twelvth season, and he might still produce, but for how many more years?

I'm trying to figure if AJ has ever brought in a guy who had just failed a physical.

I think it was more of a facetious, sarcastic, remark by him since people on that board were wanting to bring in every DT available this offseason to try to be a backup for Jamal.

    I'm not so sure.

I don't know if I've ever seen a since of humor from that guy and he was the one who was pimping AGB last season, claiming he was going to be a pro bowler for us. :icon_eek:

That's why I responded on that thread that my "sarcastic-o-meter" was on the fritz because so many people were wanting to bring in other teams' trash for a tryout.

We won't have enough roster spots for good players already in San Diego and they want to bring in someone who was on IR last year and just failed a physical, so his ability to play this year is suspect. :icon_huh:
