I was rewatching the 2005 game versus the Gnats the other night. Man did Pops have a hell of a game that night.:icon_toast:

McCardell isn't done yet, but I don't know if there is a spot on the roster for him at this point because of the maturity of Jackson and Floyd (especially if Malcolm hasn't slowed down with the extra muscle) and the addition of Davis and maybe Naanee, who I'm really interested in. If that crap about Cameron and him is true, it really sucks, because McCardell may have made a difference against New England. He showed some real class if that's the case by not being a disruption, and it shows another failure on Marty's part to have allowed that to happen. I would think that Minnesota would want a good look at him or maybe the Niners. I'm also surprised Oakland hasn't looked him up.

Zactly, Marty let things get out of control and it cost him a damn good shot at the Super Bowl. Funny thing is, I feel really good with Norv and crew, we all may get a big surprise this year and so will the rest of the NFL. Not to mention the way this team is built we should be around a few years raising hell throughout the league.:bolt2:

With the talent we had on this team, it was fricking OBSCENE for us not to win it all last year.

This article was the first I had heard of a "rift" between Cameron and KMac. Foober blamed that playoff loss on the coaching staff as soon as it was over (loud and long I might add ;)) - and based upon this article it certainly looks like he was right. Marty had lots of help losing that playoff game from Cameron.

I was wondering why McCardell was not on the field very much vs the Pat.

If it is true, my level of respect for Cam just dropped thru the floor. :beat:

So instead we had nervous nellie parker...

I agree with Foob. The coaching job in that game was a joke.

I was on that "blame the coaches" bandwagon .... starting with Marty.

I hate "unidentified" player sources. Is it a parting shot from Edwards?
