    Dear David,

A victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers combined with a win by the Baltimore Ravens would bring the AFC Championship Game to San Diego on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009.

Your AFC Championship Game ticket(s) for use in the event the game is played at Qualcomm Stadium will be arriving via United States Postal Service Priority Mail within the next few days.

Again, the Chargers and Ravens must both win this weekend (January 10 & 11) in order for the AFC Championship Game to be played at Qualcomm Stadium. If the game is not played in San Diego, these tickets cannot be used and need not be returned. Any amounts paid for unplayed games will be applied to your 2009 season ticket account unless you apply for a refund.

Thank you for your continued support,

    The Chargers Ticket Office

Anyone else get this email from the Chargers?

I got the e-mail but I did not need to worry because I was able to get both tickets from the Stadium when I went there to pick them up.

I just hope I can get to use my 2nd ticket. So the most important word is IF. The Ravens have to win and we have to win for the ticket to be used.

    SO.

    !!!!!GO CHARGERS GO!!!!!

    !!!!!GO RAVENS GO!!!!!

These tickets will be much nicer. Much better than the print at home or heat printed ticks!

Got the same thing today. I went with the pay-for-the-wild-card first option instead of paying for both up front. I thought we would have to pay for the AFCCG IF and only IF the Chargers were to play that game at home.

From the letter we received dated 12/15:

"...you will not be charged for the Championship Game Ticket(s) until it is determined that the Chargers will host the game".

Now it looks like they charged us for the AFCCG ticket anyway.

If you could have money sitting in the bank for close to a year just drawing interest, wouldnt you do the same thing?

Really? Is that what the letter said? WOW!!! I think possibly they did get a lot of crap about the way they handled the first tickets so they charged us once we beat the Colts so they could mail. For some reason, I thought that is what it said all along although I have to admit, I skimmed the letter!!

You can apply for a refund if the tickets aren't used BUT THEY WILL BE! :icon_eek:

That really isn't the point. They said they'd do one thing, but are doing another. What were told was going to happen, didn't.

When someone does that with money, that's bad.

I would love this AFCC match up.

Oh... To all the trash that have been questioning my loyalty to the Chargers in here since day one (even though I'm seen at every home game)... I like the Ravens BUT if you're on the opposing side of the Chargers, YOU'RE JUST ANOTHER OPPONENT!!!!

So choke and die, ScumBag!!!

Same here, but the way that email reads it seems (to me anyway) they were going to charge us.

    Oh well.

I will be in Annapolis; no shanking there!!!

Seriously though, IF the game is in SD, I have a shot of getting an invite to the Raven's owner's box. I plan to drop by and say hi, but then go sit in my seats!

So HELL YA I want Baltimore to win and will have fun cheering them on at my party!

This is weird...I just received mine today. :icon_huh:

So...IF there is a game to be played, it looks like they're going to charge us. If not, they don't charge us and these tickets aren't worth anything.

That scenario, if it is true, is really risky for the Chargers. What if there is a game and they go to charge someone's card and it doesn't get approved? Are the tickets still valid?

I would think they would just void the ticket.
