Not that Channel 10 is known for their sports coverage, but this is what they just reported.

    I hope it's Ryan.

I hope they dont know what they are talking about.

Time to go send some emails to the front office if theyare really thinking of hiring Norv Turner. He is the LAST guy i want to coach this team. Downhill is where he will lead it.

I sure hope it's Ryan if those are the two choices....BUT..... I'm reading that the writing is on the wall (and has been) for Turner.

Exactly. Granted, Norv worked for two of the worst owners (Snyder and Uncle Al) in all of sports when he was a HC. But If Dallas said NO to Norv, I'm hoping Spanos and AJ will too.

Supposedly, Turner would agree to bringing in Ted Cottrell whereas Rex wants to bring in former Ravens secondary coach Donnie Henderson, who was just let go as Lions DC. Hopefully, this isn't swinging the balance to Turner's side.

I dont know why AJ has to have his guy....Cotrell isnt anything great or he would be working right now. His bend but dnt break style sucks and we have seen that show before.

Let the HC hire his own guy or just let Ryan call the defensive shots.

Like I said, they pretty much had a HC candidate(s) in mind when they fired Marty...

They may not need to do "second" interviews.

I guess when you've become accustomed to scraping the bottom of the barrel for HC candidates, it would come as quite a shock to have front runners this early for a job that is considered one of the best in the NFL. :turdspuke:

He gets a pass from me for his failures at Washington and Oakland...IMHO, those were untenable situations that nobody coulda won at.

I believe Philip will florish under Norv's guidance, and thus the Offense will florish.

Jarry Jones passed on Norv despite the urgings of Troy-boy and JJ. Wade will do well there, but Norv was the better fit, IMHO, and I believe he's the best fit here.

Jes my opinion, 'nuthin really earth-shattering.

I dunno man Jerry Rice called Turner the worst HC he ever played for. I'm sure the oakland situation was beyond sucky but Rice strikes me as one of the all time good attitude guys. :icon_shrug: :abq1:

Norv is the "easy and comfortable" choice for Dean & AJ. They can bring him to manage the offense and oversee the gameplan. Cottrell can then be DC/Asst. Head Coach and help Norv catch some of the little things he might miss. :icon_sleep: Wake me when it's over.

I really hope these guys show some balls and go for some new blood.

Jay Glazer is reporting that it looks like it may be Turner, and that the Chargers are already in contact negotiations with him.

They still have too much talent for me to give up on anything, but I don't like it one bit if they hire Norv.

I could see Norv improving the offense.

I could also see his lack of leadership ability creating a team that doesn't play with as much intensity and passion week-in and week-out as they did under Marty. Say what you will about Marty--he was a motivator.

Ironically, I would probably have more confidence in Norv as our HC in the postseason than in Marty. But I definitely would have more confidence in Marty to get us there.

I hope it is not :puke:Turner.

We have the guy that knows out offense sitting in the OC chair. What we don't have is a good DC that knows how to give QBs headaches.
