Does you username refer to the rugby position, the world's oldest profession or TJ Hooker, the TV show?

One of these days I will make it to a game there. I want to see a game in all the different NFL stadiums. But this is a bad time. Not only is it the Holiday season but I am moving to Austin Texas for a new job with my company. The movers will pack and load the truck on Dec 26th and I will be on the road the next day. I have allot to get done before that. :icon_sad:

I'm going - unfortunately I won't be able to meet at the bar. We're flying to Seattle tomorrow, and 6 of my family are driving down from northern Washington on Sunday - we wont be at the stadium until right before game time.

    What section are you in?

Wow... Look how much closer you'll be to SD.

I hope this is a good move for you.

Yep it is a good move for me. The new job is a promotion with more salary mobility over my current job. Also it has a normal work schedule; 5 x 8 hour days instead of 3 or four 12 hour nigh shifts. I currently work as a Field Service Engineer in the semiconductor industry and the new job is as a Technical Specialist. Plus Texas is where I grew up (Houston) and I have allot of family and friends there. And as you mentioned, it puts me closer to SD. Now I will have less travel time when I come out there to see games.

Not yet. The new position will have plenty of opportunity to go to Japan since thats where the main office is, in Kyoto. My trip to China is scheduled for March but I think the new job will force me to shift that to May. Better late than never.

YEAHHH CHARGERS!!! That game was ugly, but it was worth the whole trip to hear how quiet that stadium got when Jackson caught the game winning touchdown. YEAH BOY!

Nomad, sounds like you are going to work for AMAT. Yes? Good company. Congrats on the new position. I have spent much of my time working for a similar company, and lived in China (Shanghai) for a couple years.

Nah, I work for Tokyo Electron. Started with em about 7 years ago doing installs across the US. That's where I came up with my screen name since I was 100% travel. No home, lived in hotels for about 2.5 years. After that I changed to field service for about 4 yeras and now I am moving to Tech Support in our US office which is in Austin. I have friends that work for AMAT though.

I was using that the whole game - I'd look at my brother and say "You hear that?" He'd say "I think i can hear a mouse pissing on a sponge"

Yep, the movers show up Tuesday and I will be on the road Wednesday. Have it planned as a three day drive and arriving in Austin the evening of the 29th. I will get to see our final regular season game and bring in the New Year in Austin! :icon_toast:
