...The rest of this team should be embarrassed at what Darren Sproles is making. If management doesn't reward him longterm quickly, the rest of the league is going to! Do it AJ...NOW!!!!

Is that the salary or this years cap hit? Two different things.

Thanks for doing this, Concudan!!!

Is this how much the Chargers owe each player in the remainder of their contracts?
I notice Luis Castillo is $504,020. Didn't he get a huge contract extension during the off season?

I thought that too but Dielman can't be the highest paid player on the team. He signed a 6 year contract two off seasons ago for 35 million. That doesn't add up to $13,305,280 a year.

I believe that Dielman's contract was frontloaded so that the Chargers could take their biggest cap hit early.

Why? He was a low round draft pick who didn't have an impact on the team till last season. Marcus McNeill has had a much bigger impact on this team, and he's payed worse than Sproles.

    Shawne Merriman $681,920

    Vincent Jackson $439,920
I think VJ needs a raise.

    Yep. I totally agree.

I as well hope that Darren Sproles and even Marcus McNeill get paid more.

    No quite.

Buster was a 1st rnd pick that is why he is making more then McNeil(2nd), Jackson(2nd), Sproles(cant remember)

    Merriman - Nope.
    Jmal - Nope.

Ok, that list does not show the whole picture. You need to look at the players CAP value. That is what they are really making.

Dielman: $4,805,280 - He signed his new contract in 2007 with the fat 10Mill bonus.
    Jamal: $ 2,901,560
    Merriman: $ 2,269,420
    Sporles: $ 489,000
    VJ: $ 714,920

    Buster: $1,041,000

You can look them all up here on USA Today.

McNeil is the most grossly underpaid of the the bunch. Sproles needs a new extended contract. Depending on how he develops during the rest of the season, Jyles is next. The best move AJ could have made for this season, as per my request, was to Franchise Michael Turner. The next best move would have been to lay down the law to Merriman on the surgery that he needed in the most painfully obvious manner. That has been AJ's on major blunder. Turner would have been a crap shoot, since no one could predict a toe injury, but then, again, it ain't my money.

Maybe they should pay every player the exact same amount - 500K. Big bonuses at the end of the year for those who played outstanding games.
