As the city of San Diego and the Chargers begin high-profile negotiations in the team's play for a new stadium, the two sides are set to duke it out in another venue. Chargers officials are quietly seeking more than $2.5 million in damages from the city and what would essentially be a reduction in their annual stadium rent, claiming to have lost money because of efforts to make Qualcomm Stadium accessible to disabled individuals.
