More recently... obviously Buster Davis, Anthony Waters and Charlie Whitehurst are wasted 3rd round picks, and considering how much we gave up for Jacob Hester and the impact he has on our team compared to Tolbert.

    Hester still contributes, though.

I'd agree we gave up too much for him but I still wouldn't put him on a "bust" list.

I'd have to put Buster Davis who was a 1st rd pk as prolly our biggest bust of this decade. Even though he's still young and could still make something of himself- I highly doubt it

With the competition in front of him I think the only way Buster proves anything for himself is if he winds up on another team.

Honestly though... why are we even talking about this?

Every bad pick we've had... PALES IN COMPARISON TO RYAN LEAF.

I mean, if Leaf is the standard... then really... none of the players we've mentioned thus far in this thread are even remotely close to being considered "busts".

    Shiitty picks? Certainly.

But, Leaf really did help to redefine the word "bust" as it applies to NFL Draft Picks.

So I'm gonna raise a toast to all of those Shiitty Picks and congratulate them for not being near the douchebags that Ryan Leaf is. :icon_party:

I wanted to get a Leaf jersey off ebay so I can make a youtube burning it but the cheapest one I found was 40 bucks.

No way I'm paying that much for a Leaf jersey.

I agree- I think leaf set our whole franchise back and took us about 5 yrs to recover- just think if the colts would took Leaf, then we in turn woulda chose Manning- I mean I'm happy with rivers but if it goes other way we would probably have a superbowl or two already. Since Rivers is only in his 4th year as a starter

Disagree about Fonoti. Dude actually had some very good games. He was just never in shape or healthy.

There is really only one. The name that will never be spoken in one of my posts.

A draft bust to me has to be a top 5-10 pick.

Off the top of my head, we've only screwed the pooch on one top 10 pick.

Even Stanley Richard & Burt Grossman don't scream bust

    ok

    found one
