SAN DIEGO ---- The NFL cards dealt to Kris Dielman weren't always keepers. "I've been on the other side of the fence,'' said Dielman, the Chargers' left guard. "That's why I appreciate everything a lot more."

More of Dielman has been everything the Chargers hoped for when they inserted him into last year's starting lineup. Their patience spent with the ups-and-downs (scale and otherwise) of Toniu Fonoti, the Bolts turned to Dielman.

That's when Dielman's world officially turned upside down.

"I was still learning the position,'' Dielman said.

That was his response then; it remains so today.

I haven't always been a huge Marty guy, but converting Dielman to guard from defensive line was genious. Haven't seen that many radical position changes work out so well. I'll give props to Marty on that call.

I hope he finally comes to terms with the club on that rumoured extension soon. The dude is going to be a stud, I would hate to lose him to FA.

I LOVE Dielamns NASTY attitude he brings to the oline. With the emergence of McNeil (who I wasn't a big fan of) It looks like the left side of the line is taken care of :icon_toast:
