This is actually a pretty darn good draft. Deep in pass rushers, CBs, O-line, RBs and WRs. Basically everything we might need.

If I think about this from the start of the season, or even at any point up until the win over the Bengals, this team exceeded my expectations. For that, I'm very proud of them.

Of course it hurts to lose a game like this, when we started off shooting ourselves in the foot with a dropped INT and a missed FG, but this team showed a lot of heart to fight back and give a great Denver team all they could handle. Losing the game by letting them have a 3rd and 17 was tough, but on the whole, I think we can see this team has future potential.

That being said, I get as excited about the draft as I do the actual season, I love the build up, the analysis on who goes where, and the actual event itself with the suspense and drama. Looking at this class, and judging from last year's picks, I'm optimistic that we can have another good draft again this year. Go Bolts!

Would be great if 24 "franchise" QBs were taken before our pick.

Hey, the Raiduds get great picks every year and it don't seem to help them out much.

Haha Al Davis sure did his part before passing. They actually didn't have 1st round picks in 2012 or 2011 because of the Carson Palmer trade. What a disaster that was...now he's rubbing salt in the wound by going 10-6 with Arizona. Sweeeet!

HAHA, yes they certainly do have a "type" that they like to draft. Every year, all the analysts seem to gush over some underdog type (see. DJ Hayden), or someone with "potential" (see DHB), and every year it seems the Raiders are the ones who fall for it.

Gotta say, that's one of the things I love the most about watching the draft, the undoubted laugh you get when the Raiders pick. This year, maybe it's Manziel LOL...

Agreed, and as more underclassmen declare, it gets better. I don't know if the Bolts will draft offense or defense, but I hope to see these words associated with either:

    Offense - "Mauler"
    Defense - "Tackling Machine"

Early on I'd like to see Cyril Richardson available at #25, big position need, huge Guard. There should be a handful of quality db's available in the second round but what worries me is the lack of height that will be there in round two. Guess I just want to see a Cromartie type cb on the draft board but there isn't one this year.

Mitchell from Oregon might be around come our second pick, those two would be a great start imo.

Why do we need a Cromartie type when we could get the man himself? Looks like he might be a cap cut with the Jets. Just kidding of course. No way Cro comes back to SD.

Because I'd prefer his physical stature in a male specimen.

I'd love a 6'2/6'3 young hungry cb, watching denvers receiving core really demands a tall frame to keep up (height wise) with the jones'. There are plenty of 5'10 - 6' db's that can stick with the likes of welker and decker though so either way. Being an Oregon fan I've watched mitchell his entire career, and think he'd be a good fit for us in the 2nd or 3rd round. Just seems we need a physical equalizer if we can find one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already have a Cromartie?

    Problem solved!:p
