Jacksonville won 24-17." align="left" height="237" width="173" />OK. I am finally going to go off now. I have bided my time, watching the Chargers (5-5) through 11 weeks, and i can say without any reservation-
they suck. Not eternally bad, but hardly an elite team.

In losing to Jacksonville 24-17 today, all the flaws that have been present this season, showed up in abundance. Last seasons squad wins this game easily, which is amazing considering its basically the same team. The difference has to be coaching, and as much as the Chargers attempted to sell us on Norv, the fact is that he does not hold a match to Marty Schottenheimer as a game tactician. That is not Norv's fault, he is who he is. The frustration , as always, is that certain people could not leave well enough alone. THIS TEAM WAS UNSTOPPABLE. As usual, the Chargers have stopped themselves.

Its too late to change anything, but geeze louise, we were one freakin bad break from the AFC Championship game, at HOME. Marty did all anyone could i his time here, taking a terrible Charger team, and turning it completely around in 5 years. In allowing Schottenheimer to walk, and the rest of the staff time to find better jobs with better bosses, 8-8 was all we could ever hope for this year. Reality. You can see it on LT's face, every time a gadget play blows up.

Where is the reverse? Where is the power sweep? Where is common sense?
in Todays game at Jacksonville- the Chargers faced 4th and 2, and called for a half back pass by LT. Great call, on FIRST DOWN. LT never had a chance.
Marty knew to get the first down every time, not to try to get 6 easy points because the defense is stupid. This is the NFL. What worked 10 years ago, does not always work today, as defenses have become more sophisticated.

Marty was Don Coryell compared to Norv so far, Id love to play Norv a game of Madden with ME running the Bolts offense... he might learn a trick or 2.

Anyway's, as amazing as it seems, the Chargers are still in first place, due to the fact that, this season, the West sucks. After 36 years of the AFC West always having a dominant team or 2, this season, 8-8 might actually win the division, so the Chargers still have time to get it right. They never quit against the Jaguars, and that's a good sign. Norv is finding his way, Rivers seems to be getting closer on running Norv's offense, but somewhere in my imagination, it should be so much more. Like our tickets are so much more...

Jacksonville came to play this Sunday, and they pushed the Bolts all over the field in the first half. Maurice Jones Drew scored from a yard out, and Jags kicker Josh Scobee booted a 48 yard FG, giving the Jaguars a quick 10-0 lead.
Offensively, the Chargers seem lost, firing on all cylinders on one play, and looking like the never even met each other on others.

Norv put so much offense into they're heads, that they cant function anymore. Everyone is thinking instead of reacting."  Recipe for failure...

3 points. that's it for San Diego in the first half, add another Jags TD, and you have a 17-3 comfy Jaguars lead at the break. Frustration. The Chargers have become a Mercedes that wont start.

In the Second half, it semed that Norv finally lit into em in the locker room at the Half. Crisp. LT scored from 6 yards out, capping a solid 60 yard drive.
Rivers looked as good as he has all year on this drive.

    17-10 JAX, still a ballgame...

Jacksonville is also playing for first place, and were not going anywhere soon.
David Garrard led the cats on a 87 yard drive, right through the heart of the Charger D. This is no way to win a division... 2006 was extra special, treasure it always...

24-10 Jags- are we through yet? NO...

Trailing by 14, Rivers led the Chargers on a 90 yard drive in 1:57, looking masterful every other play. Weird. Antonio gates gathered in the TD pass from
24 yards out, giving the Chargers a chance at the end.

24-17."  Rivers did all he could, but the Jags proved too tough, with Sammy Knight intercepting Rivers at the SD 48. Rivers showed some good scrambling moves on the final drive, but telegraphed his pass to Knight direct.

    Ball game.

If Denver loses, we remain in first place, with Baltimore coming in on Sunday.
No one thought the 94 Chargers were going to Super Bowl either,
    so time will tell...
but We are not Amused..." "  See you Sunday at the Q, we have work to do...
