Here is a partial list of players who could be free agents next year (assuming we have football):

    Applewhite, Antwan
    Burnett, Kevin
    Carter, Tyrone
    Cesaire, Jacques
    Clary, Jeromey
    Cooper, Stephen
    Dearth, James
    Floyd, Malcom
    Hughes, Dante
    Jackson, Vincent
    Johnson, Travis
    McMichael, Randy
    Mruczkowski, Scott
    Naanee, Legedu
    Neill, Ryan
    Oliver, Paul
    Siler, Brandon
    Sproles, Darren
    Tolbert, Mike
    Volek, Billy
    Washington, Kelley
    Watkins, Pat
    Weddle, Eric

I am curious which players Chargers fans see as top priorities and why.

With AJ upstairs, don't count on keeping anyone that is any good!

The question is which of these players want to come back?

Man do I ever wish Garay was available. We need a dominant nose tackle badly. We basically have three linemen playing out of position. I am surprised they are doing as well as they are like that.

why shouldnt we count on keeping anyone that is good? He's signed plenty of extensions in his tenure.

and that's not me defending AJ. That's just me calling a spade a spade. Vincent Jackson drama aside, extensions aren't generally his problem...despite the bumps there usually seems to be getting there.

Keep Tolbert, Siler and VJ. Maybe Burnett and Floyd.

The rest represent needed upgrades IMO.

It is much easier to re-sign someone when they are signed with a a year or 2 left in their rookie deal, than it is when they have several other teams perusing them.

I believe this list is why AJ was not willing to give 50 Million to VJ who is obviously not AJs favorite guy. AJ needs to look at the entire team and decide where to spend the money so we don't have all of the cap tied up in a handfull of players while loosing many free agents over the next two years.
