Kiel, 25, was not present at practice one day after he was arrested at Chargers Park by Drug Enforcement Administration agents for allegedly transporting codeine-based prescription cough medicine. He will not play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens and will be absent from the team until Monday, though he will continue to collect a paycheck, said Chargers general manager A.J. Smith.

"He stays on the roster, the same situation as any inactive player," said head coach Marty Schottenheimer. "He will not travel with us to Baltimore and he will not play. He's got a number of things he needs to address."</blockquote>
