San Diego Chargers: Fullback Lorenzo Neal became the second Charger this week to reach agreement on a contract extension. Neal, 34, reached a two-year, $2 million agreement in principle that will keep him with the team through 2007.

Included in the deal is a $500,000 signing bonus.

Neal is considered one of the league's best blocking fullbacks. He is in his 13th season and is on his sixth team. He has blocked for Curtis Martin with the Jets, Eddie George with the Titans and Corey Dillon with the Bengals. Now, he is blocking for LaDainian Tomlinson, who is considered the league's best running back.

He was a fourth-round choice of the Saints in 1993 and played five seasons there. The 5-11, 255-pound Neal went to the Pro bowl in 2002 for the Bengals.
