Good. Maybe the team is serious and going to clean the locker room out.

Get people in who play for more than just one or two years.

The move creates $9.41 million in salary-cap space for San Diego, but also saddles theChargers with $18.69 million in dead money. Just two years after signing a lucrative seven-year, $51.8 million contract, Butler faded down the stretch in 2015

Butler couldn't be worse if he tried.... Oh, that's right, he never tried. My bad.

Donald Trump runs for President and the Chargers respond by cutting all Donalds.

    Over-reaction, much?

I didn't say it was a hilarious joke :roflmao:

But it nevertheless should have been obvious enough that it was a joke.

Kevin Acee says that Butler defrauded the Chargers.....

Butler was a defensive captain the year before getting his contract. He was smart and instinctual and aggressive. He made a hustle play in the 2013 playoffs that will remain one of the franchise’s finest postseason moments.

But the lasting image of Butler is that of a thief. He robbed Telesco and the Chargers. It’s difficult, in fact, to understand how a man with any pride could even have shown up at Chargers Park the past year or so with as much as Butler stole from the team.

It takes a lot of nerve to pontificate about a professional athlete quitting.

I’ve done it only once before. I feel just as confident doing it now.

Butler’s larceny over the past two seasons was the second-most egregious example of a high-rent player quitting on the Chargers after only what Jared Gaither did in 2012.

Short memory Kev ............. (Marshmellow McNeill didn't defraud anyone ? :whistling:)

Charger's have been "clowned" aplenty over the years and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Obviously "Once bitten, Twice shy" isn't a motto they believe in. :D

First it was a run on "soft as Budder" LT's .................looks like LB's are the new arsehole rippers to me ! ;)

Has anyone shown an ounce of interest in this poor guy now being unemployed ? ;)

Hell NO .................but somehow Donald Butler gets a headline ?... go figure.

I bet no one outside a Charger fan could even tell you who the fark Donald Butler is ! :D (and most of them would rather pretend they haven't heard of him either)

I think TT is afraid that Ingram may pull a Butler if given the chance. ;)

How to know ahead of time that an athlete is going to do nothing as soon as they 'get paid'.

Someone needs to write that book.

Case studies can include Gaither, Butler, Meachem, Cox and Boston. Feel free to add more wasters to this list.

Hmmm, I wonder if any of the potential first or second rounders in the upcoming draft are named Donald?

Has to include people like Albert Haynesworth. I feel like Cox/Meachem didn't defraud so much as they just suck and were overpaid. Boston was a basket case - should've been buyer beware. I don't know if Butler was lazy so much as he just became ineffective? He clearly was good prior to it but I don't know.

Only Gaither to me is someone who clearly took the money and got lazy.
