Waters coming off a spectacular 2005 season where he totaled 109 tackles, returned to Clemson his senior year only to tear his ACL in the 1st game of the 2006 season.

Waters joins a Chargers team with one of the best linebacking corps. in the NFL. He will compete for the vacant ILB position left by veteran Donnie Edwards.

    <strong> Strengths:</strong>
Has great size and bulk...Excellent instincts...Smart and a hard worker...Reliable tackler and a big hitter...Versatile...He fights through blocks well...Solid range...A decent pass rusher...Good motor...Has a lot of experience...Was very productive.

Average timed speed and agility...Is coming off a major injury...Solid but not great in coverage and will struggle in man situations...Doesn't have fluid hips...Sub par hands and ball skills...Technique needs refining...Some minor character concerns.

Almost entered the '06 NFL Draft but went back to school for his senior year and tore his ACL in the first game of the season...Has experience at both inside and outside linebacker...Was suspended for a game in 2004 for his part in the brawl with South Carolina...If not for the injury he might have been a Day One pick...An underrated prospect who will go lower than his talent indicates...Potential steal.
