I think Clary can, with time, be a good backup
but that's a two year time frame at least
Page is so raw he's still mooing
Elliot needs a TON of work
McKinney needs time to work on technique

I agree except with Clary.. if you give him 2-3 years of NFL development he will become a solid backup. Whether it's worth investing that in him is questionable because #1 you know what you're going to get (ie: his ceiling) #2 you can easily find another dude like him within those 2-3 years

I would rather blow out the whole squad and load it up with Offensive Tackles/Guard/Center

I'm happy to see that we still kept Perkins I was surprised when I found we initially cut him.

He hopefully will be called up to the active roster this week if gordons still healing.

Marty don't use turner or parker for return dutys. Please. WE need those guys healthy.

Would you put Cromartie at the return spot ?

I myself wouldn't in any way shape or form. All we need the return guy to do is catch the ball. Let the offense then move it.

Cromartie along with parker and turner are way too important to put in harms way. Thats my feebleminded opinion anyway.

It is almost like having a Deion Sanders when he did it back in the day.....

You just have to have a look-see and roll the dice. At least once a game - run a reverse on the return......and go man go....

I remember deion returning. And he got hurt alot. I personally wouldn't do it. It is tempting. But we really need him to play either nickle or backup. Curry is the 4th cb and thats like a disastor in coverage waiting to happen.

I'm really for landing one more good cb next offseason. A guy named Landry from LSU. CAn play both cb and saftey.

I am for landing a nose tackle to replace or spell Jamal. Get the CB/FS the same way we did McCree so we avoid the learning curve. I am thinking about the stadium and would press as a GM.

Linemen have a flat learning curve because it is basic mongo football unlike a CB who needs 3/4 yrs to get his **** together. We do not have that luxury of time anymore.

I guess what I am saying is we have to take extrodinary chances or we risk losing this team forever.

Foober, Landry played ONE game as a freshman at CB and has been a FS there ever since. I doubt anyone will look at him as a CB or even think they would want him to play CB.

He has good speed but is a standout at FS.

I like the PS list. Good balance of players that might contribute down the road.

Is there a better coverage d-back coming out next year. None that I've read about.

HIm being classified as a saftey may help us get him. We'll be picking last of course so thats not going to leave us much chance of getting him.

The best I've found so far is a guy from michigan. Alan branch. 6'6 320 and looks even bigger on t.v.. and is really quick. Number 80. Only a junior this year though. Also on that michigan d-line is a very good outside pass rusher. Number 56. CAn't remember his name. Very good.

Can't agree more, I really think that Perkins would do well in the return spot, even though this a fantasy- Peter Warrick was released as well as Quentin Griffen...Both I think are ideal canadates but I know they would not go to SD...just a nice dream though.

I never considered using Antonio C. on PR/KR. Do you think he will make a serious push to start this year? As long as he occupies the Nickel position I would surely consider utilizing him here.

I'd love to pick up Warrick as our PR/KR and release Camarillo

My spidey sense tells me that we could sign Warrick to a cap-friendly deal but we'll see what Mr. Smith thinks about that...My guess is we don't sign anybody and Parker will be the PR/KR (as much as I don't like that idea)
