Yea he was I got a GB fan friend who was all kinds of YEA BIGS!!! when they were slamming ATL out of the playoffs. Not sure Im so high on him yet, but hey hes not worn out and is im sure coming in pretty cheaply. Still would like to see Harrison Smith taken in the 2nd if hes there still.

Its a half *** attempt to fill the SS position with a 30+ extremely injury prone dreadlocked Jamaican.

Don't love this signing, I hope we're giving him the veteran minimum.

I'm kinda of upset, thought they for sure would put faith in Stuckey/McDaniel. I guess we'll just have to see in camp. Acee said SS still to come in draft too..

No kidding. Bigby could easily turn into camp fodder, I really want Garay and/or Harris back.

No way there is enough money in the coffers for Garay now, Matti ....................he's as good gawnnnnnn.

Harris could be still a chance though.

Then again, the Volek dismissal was a bit out of left-field, so maybe the FO dumps a few more scrubs to save a few more pennies yet ?

"The team cut backup quarterback Billy Volek, due a $750,000 roster bonus on Thursday. All told, the release saves $3.5 million against the cap."

Unless both guys are being completely unreasonable I find it hard to believe we can't afford one of them at the moment.

I hope he's a backup/STer at most and will compete with Deandre McDaniel for an extra roster spot. Seriously, I can't see how this guy is anything but an attempt at depth

LOL sorry I read that wrong. I thought it was 2.5 for 1 year.

Still more than double what the Seachickens paid him last year for 18 tackles and 1 sack.

Yeah, but then again the vet minimum is tiered according to experience now and he could well of eclipsed from the 4-6 to 7-9 years tier which does bring a required pay-bump. Either way, looks like no signing bonus so he hits nothing against the cap if he's cut at any point. Better to have a safety safety (safety valve safety) even if he's more of an inside the box guy than a dual-skill type. He's a very slight improvement over Gregory, in that at least he doesn't get schooled on red-zone assignments and make moronic holds that he's damn lucky he wasn't called for more often (I swore so much at my TV when Gregory was in last year). I'd have preferred Reggie Smith but he probably would have cost 2.5 to 3 times as much.

I assume you meant Reggie Nelson? He'd have been more expensive but at least we could have crossed a huge need off the list. As it is we'll be drafting a SS possibly still as high as round 2.

He's not good enough, thats why he is sitting on his arse, pretty simple really.
Biggs has at least played the game at this level and done OK, now whether or not he still has that ability we'll see soon enough, whereas Stuckey in the preseason performances he has appeared in was found out to be way out of his league

He is more reliable when he is stating facts instead of biased version of when AJ wants him to write
