This will create some good competition for Epps.

I'm not sure why we havn't picked up a better BLOCKING TE though considering we lost Manu, who was like an extra RT.

Mcmichaeal was a standout for Miami not long ago!

If he can rediscover some of that form, the Chargers would have some amazing options in the passing game with two TE sets!! This would also bring alot more running play options into play also

To me this looks like our TE core isnt as good as I have been hoping we could be, or maybe he is just another body for camp.

Kinda hoping the ladder but that is jus the selfish in me im sure. Would love to see Wilson step his game up and be that other man on the line/ocasionaly receiver. Also realy like to see what Epps is gonna do for us in years to come. I do like this move, just not sure what it says about our current TE lineup...

This guy was a great pass catcher in his day and quite the athlete. Strange pick up alright. I guess Gates might be struggling a little more than we all thought. Wilson is now the de facto blocking TE. Randy might pick up some of Gates' slack while we wait to see can Epps do something. Can't see Epps being active on gameday too often now.

Kris Wilson, Dedrick Epps and Richie Brockel. It should be a battle between Dedrick Epps and Richie Brockel for the number 3 spot.given that kris wilson is number 2. if it came down to it Richie Brockel should win he was a FB and a TE in college so he could be a double dimension player for us if cory jackson doesnt make the team

    Umm... just a camp body.

We need to sign them to one-year deals so they can continue to practice with us after June 15th.

It doesn't necessarily mean they'll make the final 53.

You know how many we signed to one-year tenders in June last year, only to cut them near the end of August?

If there was a good chance he'd be permanent, then he'd have gotten a multi-year deal, not one-year for the league minimum.

Chandler was doing well until he suffered an injury. He still hasn't fully recovered from it.

After that injury the Chargers didn't want to sign him or keep him on the PS. He wasn't that bad. I am unsure if he will ever really be a player in this league however.

Well put and puts my mind at ease.

I can still pull for Wilson to show something for this team and if worse case scenario Epps could land on the PS wout being snatched up by teams that already passed on him to the point of near UDFA status.

The season is close, I can smell it. :icon_party:
