    After 2 games, we average
    28 points per game: 6th
433 total yards per game: 3rd
303 pass yards per game: 4th
130 rush yards per game: 6th

    Defense
17 points allowed per game: 15th
273.5 total yards allowed per game: 9th
170.5 pass yards allowed per game: 11th
103 rushing yards allowed per game: 13th

All in all, our offense is way up there with the best of them and there are basically no worries when The Chosen One is under center. And our defense hasn't performed too shabby either, but there is room for improvement for sure. At least our defense is better than over half of the leagues defense.

Towards the end of the season, do you think the stats will improve or get worse? I tend to think the rushing yards per game will go up a bit and the points allowed will go down a bit.

Team rankings don't really mean ****. The defense has played better than the stats would suggest, and the offense had one good game and one not so good game.

Yep. And considering who we're playing the next 4 weeks (SEA, OAK, ARI, STL) I'd expect these #s to improve.

It's a bit early to start analysing statistics.

there is only one stat that means anything, the rest of that junk is for the fantasy people, or the people who worry about what color jersey to wear.

    The one stat is.......

We have zero Lombardi’s in our possession

Especially when you have played 2 terrible offensive and defensive teams. The offense and defense have looked very good, but they are playing CFL teams right now.

I am not saying they aren't good, I am just saying take it with a grain of salt and think about the terrible teams they have played

The ONLY stat I care about (if you can call it a "stat") is that we always score 1 or more points more than our opposition. That's about it. :)

I think terrible is a bit of a stretch. MJD is a beast, and the Bolts completely shut him down. And they made Gerrard look like Jamarcus Russell. I think they deserve credit for that. Offensively, 500 yards of offense against any NFL team is impressive.

MJD is a stud, no doubt, but they are still a bad team over all. Our run defense was great, and I am not saying that the team isn't good, I am just saying take it with a grain of salt. Jax hasn't had a winning season in 2 years.

Terrible may be an exaggeration, but they are NOT good either

    He better say "yes"

    There is no other answer.

To some fans, any playoff showing is a good season.

    F-That.

As MTL said, anything less than a Lombardi is dawggpisss. The only stat that means shite is how many trophys do we have. The rest is crap.

    Then let me say it.

    THEY ARE NOT GOOD.

Until these lines are fixed, this will be a HORROR show and another year of failed expectations. This line and forget depth is a freaking JOKE.

When we meet the more powerful teams, it is going to wake some fans up.....A mule kick to their sacks.

Trenches is where this game is won or lost and the word is out - we are soft.

The Jags are a bottom half team, but the fact is, we routed these guys on a day when we were still not at our peek. Neither interception could be laid on Rivers, since Gates simply muffed the catch and Naanee misplayed the ball badly. Other than those miscues by normally reliable receivers, we absolutely dominated on offense. I would have expected the defense to do well against the Jags, but also expected MJD to get his yards. We stifled these guys, despite yielding them great field position several times with turnovers.

130 rush yds per game really stands out. COnsidering no VJ, No Mcneil and amassing many of those yards with Mathews out, it seems like a good thing we released LT!

We also played a Jax team that gave up 116.4 yards a game and a KC team that gave up 156.5 per game last year. It is too early to really say whether either offense has improved since last year

The defensive stat is skewed, one of the TDs was because of the return so it drops to 13.5 points allowed per game (7th).

But it's way too early to look at stats, I mean Cutler is 1st in QB rating.

Way to early for league wide stats. Everybody has a chance after 2 weeks, and the games can be a little lopsided.

Just wanted to add how impressive the rushing defense has been especially considering that as bad as KC/Jax are, they have a fine crop of RBs that have been held in check by hte defense.

I like all those stats, but it's too early to count on them. It's good to see DEF is improving since last year.
Wish the OFF has a sunny day in Seattle.
