When the Chargers have the ball

Coach Marty Schottenheimer swears QB Philip Rivers (11 passes on Monday) isn't on a pitch count. But what counts today is that the Titans' secondary is prime for the picking ---- no defense gave up more scoring passes last year. While the Chargers will establish the running game with RB LaDainian Tomlinson (duh!), it's time for Rivers to show off his wing. He needs to show he can stretch the defense today, so the next two, much stiffer opponents ---- Baltimore and Pittsburgh ---- will respect the passing attack. Tennessee, though, has some studs in LB Keith Bulluck, DT Albert Haynesworth and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch. But it says here Rivers will collect multiple touchdown passes, with actually throwing to a wide out.
