Agreed. It's obvious he's trying really hard to make this team competitive THIS year. I don't remember AJ ever making this many moves at the conclusion of preseason. Not to mention the move up for Te'o and the Freeney, Cox, Dunlap, and Starks signings in FA(even tho Starks didn't work out). He's definitely workin it.

That is not a unicorn. That is just something strapped to the ponies head. ;)

I'd contend that even if Scaife was cut for Lissemore our depth would be better. I had to go back and check my draft notes from 2010 because I knew the name sounded familiar but I couldn't place specifics to it. He's likely never going to be truly "starter quality" in the league, but then we don't need him to be. In terms of backups, he's actually quite a get - and the cheap price is likely because, I believe, he's on the last year of his rookie deal and has bee na perennial backup, though one who's performed admirably when needed for injury-fill (which with the Cowboys DL the past couples seasons has been often). He's on of those non-stop motor, effort, yeoman types who may be a tad on the smaller side (I think he tops out at just slightly over 300 lbs), but plays bigger than he is in run game, and has very good natural burst (ran a 4.8s 40 at his pro day, and marginally better "metric" explosiveness than Liuget.

In short, he offers a higher upside backup - thus less drop-off when subbing in for one of the starters - than Damik did.

The Cowboys actually locked signed him to a 5 year deal last year so we have him until 2017

Listed at 6'3' and 314. Nearly ideal size for a 5-tech.
