As of 5pm on 10/24/06 the Chargers vs. Rams game had about 1000 tickets left to sell. Word is that the NFL will not offer the Chargers an extension to sell the remainin tickets.

If the tickets are not sold, the game will be blacked out in the local and extended (LA area) market.

:icon_evil: those must be all single seats, because that's all ticketmaster has left. I had to buy mine on eBay and pay double the face value. But it's cool... it's the only game I'll attend this year.

Damn, it is going to be hard to sell out single seats unless they are very very close together. Possibly some local company can do some kind of fund rasiser with these remaining tickets.

Don't the indians usually pick up the tab when they get around a thousand left?

    According to this site:

    http://football.ballparks.com/NFL/SanDiegoChargers/index.htm

The Q has 71,294 seats available for football games..... w/ 1000 seats remaining, that means less that 1.5% are not sold...... couple that w/ the fact that many of them are single seats; I just cant see how that isnt considered a sell-out.

I believe that the 1000 seats left are above the cutoff point, not just 1000 seats left.

When tickets get to around 1,000 or less, the local TV station will pick it up the rest of the tickets as a way to break even in ad losses or some crap. I know they lose money and have a break-even analysis or some **** and this has come up before.

Sometimes, as stated previously, one of the local casinos like Viejas, Sycuan, or Barona will buy the tickets and KFMB will be so gracious that they give them "free" air-time during the local broadcast.

Why? Have you tried looking at ticketmaster? You can't buy 2 tickets together. Who wants to go to the game alone?

You can buy pairs of tickets on StubHub. I just checked. However, the prices are often about $140 per ticket.

TRUE, but at the same time theres not a better way to spend 100 bucks(tailgating included-food drinks etc)plus the comaraderie now between charger fans is off the hook, trust me i went to the sf game. so if you have to sit alone it doesn't matter really because theres so much love within this charger community it's like sitting with 5000 of your best buddies.

But when you get to final checkout... the broker fees are ridiculous. Of course, I was buying 7... so it came out to $200+ on fees which took the per ticket price up to $200+ each.

The guy I bought my tix from didn't charge a fee (but I paid double the face value) and it came out to $145 each. He had some really good 2-seat combos. He sent me his card so I can refer people if they want his contact info.

I am a legend everywhere.

I am a famous poster unlike leisure and my voice does not quiver and I actually use the "F" word on the air. :icon_eek: :icon_banana:

A couple of years ago, I asked for a reach around on the radio (Mighty 1090) in front of Chargers Park.

It is now an urban legend.

Actually, fans want to hang out and get on TV because they are media whores.

All I want to do is represent for the Bolts and lead the temple to a Lombardi and get free beer. :icon_mrgreen: :icon_toast: :icon_party:

I have a ticket that's all alone, but I understand. Most wouldn't want to go to the games and have to sit by them selves. I think it's all a scam. There should be no reason that there is a thousand+ seats left and they are ALL singles. If this was common, how come it never happens at other sporting events, concerts, etc.

When they sell the tickets are they selling them all with and empty next to them? WTF?

I just checked ticketmaster and nickelbolt is absolutely right. There are GREAT seats left, but they are ALL singles.

They had a plaza 32, row 3 seat available when I tried, but it was a single. Try for two tickets together anywhere, no go.

I even tried club level seats which I believe don't count toward the black out and are ultra expensive and still nothing but singles.

    It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

every home game, is it the same 1500-1000 tickets unsold? Maybe we should change the amount of tickets we need to sell by 1000, then it would be a guarentee sell out.

Flame if you want, but $140 a seat is WAY too much to see a football game.

I gave up my season tix when they got to $65 each.

I think the number of tickets to sell for a sellout is determined by the NFL and varies by stadium, since some places can hold more than others.

You're right. It's a lot. But I am going to see my Bolts play this year. So you do what ya' gotta do.

I paid $230/seat for tix to see the Packers & Cowboys @ Lambeau. WAY WORTH IT.

The problem is not the $154 seats.....nor the $290 Club seats. The 1,000 tickets that always seem to remain unbought are in horrible sight lines for a football game.
