    Adrian Peterson.

The name strikes FEAR into the hearts and minds of all who dare oppose him. Defensive coordinators and players alike cower at the thought of having to try to stop this one man wrecking crew. This week's victim: San Diego.

With as bad as the run defense has been in the last few weeks, I can only see bad things on the horizon when we go into Minnesota this weekend. Good thing it's a road game, I can just switch the channel when Peterson starts making fools of our defense and the game gets really ugly. At least Daunte Culpepper and Randy Moss are no longer there to torment us.

the chargers suspect secondary will be exploited by the disecting passing of future HOF'r Brooks Bolliger while the chargers usually stout run d will meet their match in the rook Adrian Petersen who will go for 200 + once again.

We would be lucky to face Bolliger even though he has our number. The starter will be Montana-like Tarvaris Jackson. A broken finger will not hold him back, he knows he'll have a career day against our pathetic defense. My prediction is Vikings 52, chargers 0. Jackson will throw for 400+ yards, Peterson 150+ yards.

With our return specialists, and O-line, vikings's offense never even bothers to take the field.

We lose 38 to 0, Viking score 100% of their points from safeties alone.

Vikings will bring the real thing from the "What's in Your Wallet" clan and only those who have a Capitol One card will be able to play. With only 27 players, the Chargers fail to get out of their own red zone and the Vikes pillage their way to 140 points.

After the fires and the emotionally draining home game, the Chargers will come out terribly flat in Minnesota, not that it would matter with the team they are going against. The Bolts could play their best and still lose. Adrian Petersen is the best running back ever, and he'll use his first matchup with LT to prove it. AP runs for 250, Brooks Bollinger, who always lights it up against us, throws for 300 and LT is held to 30 yards as the Vikes win big.

    Vikes 48
    Chargers 0

Childress will run up the score so relentlessly that he'll make Belichick look like Tony Dungy.

I still remember Brooks Bollinger dissecting our defense in 2005. We're screwed. Let's rest up LT for next year.

Can't we just play the Patriots offense, and the '85 Bears defense instead? We'd stand a better chance I suspect.

Chargers 7 (On a Cro pick-six off of Adrian Peterson in junk time)
    Vikings 52

    Wait .... I don't get it.

Do they score touchdowns on our safeties? Do their safeties score touchdowns? Do their safeties score safeties?

    I'm so confused ......

And the season comes crashing down.

Just as we thought our boys were getting on a (albeit totally lucky and undeserved) roll, we run into the meat grinder that is the Minnesota Vikings.

Man, if I played for the Chargers, I'd just call in sick and go play golf, a la Cryan Leaf. It may be our players' only chance of not getting hurt.

When the Vikings have the ball:

Adrian Peterson, future Hall of Famer (he's already better than LT), is going to run roughshod over us. It's not going to be pretty. I fear for our outside linebackers - trying to tackle the guy is just suicide. Merriman and Philips should just run out of bounds at the snap - maybe leave a towel on the field. Maybe it'll slow Peterson down on the way to the end zone, and towels can't get hurt.

And when Peterson needs some rest, Jackson or Bollinger (either one is more than a match for our secondary) will likely throw a couple of TDs.

When San Diego has the ball:

We chose wrong. Should have kept Leber and traded Merriman... maybe we wouldn't be in this hopeless situation today. He's going dissect all our schemes like Emeril on a fillet of fish. BAM! Which is, by the way, the only thing Philip Rivers will hear all day as that fearsome pass rush sacks him over and over again to the tune of 8 - yes, 8 - safeties.

Gates is going nowhere. He's got Darren Sharper on him, the best safety in the NFL. Shoot, he could probably cover Chambers at the same time and still keep an eye on LT out of the backfield. If we even play LT, that is. We should just rest him for when we actually have a good team - maybe next year after we pick up Mike Williams in free agency and promote Clarence Shelmon to HC.

Final prediction: Vikings 46, Chargers 0. The season is pretty much over.

I think we've changed enough plays since he was here. Adrian Peterson is the one that worries me. He's only a rook, and he's leading the NFL in rushing. This kid is the real deal. I know some might over look the Vikings because of their record, but they are a much better team than that. Their losses have been only by a few points.

This is the team that really worries me. I know we're getting back on track, but I think the Vikes could pull this out in a tough battle. My prediction, Vikings 31, Chargers 10.

Dude I said "in no particular order"... you can rank yourself wherever you like within that group!!

BTW, thanks for the neg reps... love the red/green mix... just in time for the holidays!

    Keep up the great work!

Unfortunately, I've found out that the Chargers have thrown in the towel this week. I know the players are not working as hard at their craft as you do at yours:

    Chargers 4
    Vikings 66
