CHARGERS VS. BENGALS - THE KEYS TO A WIN OR IS THIS A TRAP GAME ?

Alright Boltfans it is Christmas week and everyone is thinking about stuffing their pie holes with food and thoughts of gifts and family but pizz on all that for a moment.

The Bengals have Carson Palmer and his howitzer. Terrell Owens is on IR after knee surgery. OchoCinco has yet to deliver any deodorant to the Bolt lockeroom yet. The Bengals are eliminated and have nothing to play for but pride.

On paper, the Chargers should win this easily but the game is not played on paper now is it ?

The Chargers have had the habit of letting us down when we needed them the most. When the team had to play in Arizona due to the fires, a win sure would have helped the moral of the fans who stayed at home with dust masks dodging embers but the Chargers tanked that game to let us down yet again.

Are the Chargers capable of doing this in Cincy ?

Most certainly and after what we have seen on this roller coaster seasonal hayride, I would not be shocked.

However, this history the Chargers have built up of turning on the jets in December and January intrigues the average bear.

Could this be the team to win it all ?

    Reaction. :bolt:

I am having a hard time shaking the feeling it will come down to the last week which means we lose and the Chiefs lose this weekend. We should beat the Bengals easily but my little voice is saying something weird will happen in this game.

We don't have to both lose for it to come down to the last week.

If the Chiefs and Chargers both win it comes down to week 17.

If we both lose this weekend and then we win next weekend and they lose - we win the division.

    Both teams end up 9-7.

Right. I didn't say it wouldn't come down to the last week if they both lose. I just said it also comes down to the last week if they both win.

If they both win then San Diego's 9-6 while KC is 10-5. Then, if San Diego beats Denver and KC loses to Oakland they're both 10-6 and San Diego wins the tiebreaker with their 3-3 divisional record to KC's 2-4 record.

Come on, where's the positive attitude? The Chargers have been unstoppable in the late part of the season these past few years. They have also done well in the cold weather. They sure will get enough practice in the cold and wet this week. Our running game has improved and Rivers gets the ball to EVERYBODY. I doubt we'll get stopped. Our Defence has stuffed some of the best and are playing their best football. I'll agree no win is a given now days but we can win out and I think we'll do it. Not looking through rose glasses either. This team should have been 14 and 2 at worse but hey most of the game is played with your head. To bad their head wasn't on right in the start of the season.

CoronaDoug's one dollar at the end of that obscene $400 billion Boltcash bothers me.

It is as though that one dollar at the end of that ungodly string is a middle finger saying "eat this."

Do you get any hint of a tingling sensation in your loins (or any other areas) that something will happen which will shock the fans ?

Carson is washed up. Stop the run and hold on to the ball.

Something that shocked the fans happened the last time the Chargers were in Cincinnati.

 - That one dollar stuck out like a sore thumb. It looked odd.

I figured your one dollar bets were driving Leo mad. A chinese water torture using Boltcash one dollar at a time.

No way in friggin' hell we lose against the Bungals. If we do, Norv should be buried in ice in Cinci, and replaced immediately by either Rivera or any forum member.

No you're wrong that would mean Oakland wins the division.

Oakland would have to beat Indy this weekend to achieve a 9-7 record, and that probably won't happen since the Colts need to keep winning in order to stay ahead of Jacksonville...

What? If KC beats Tennessee Oakland's eliminated.

The only way Oakland wins the division is if KC loses to Tennessee AND Oakland, Oakland beats INDY AND KC, and San Diego loses one of their games.

    Wait, that was a bazinga?

You can't just blatantly post incorrect information and expect it to be a bazinga.
