Is there still a bio page for every player we had in either the spring or the summer still being maintained on the site?

I think that the fact we’re working him out + his bio page on the website = we’re probably signing him, hopefully for the PS in which we now haw 2 spots to fill.

According to Gehlken, former Bears RB Shaun Draughn also worked out for Chargers today.

Yuck, pretty uninspiring options so far.

I believe these players are working out for Grice's spot on the practice squad, not for Woodhead's spot.

DJ Adams signed.. Not a big fan of having 2 rookies behind Donald Brown. More reps for Branden Oliver.

    UPDATE: Practice Squad addition

Chargers have signed RB D.J. Adams to practice squad, per source. Replaces RB Marion Grice, who signed with Cardinals.

The Chargers have also signed Shaun Draughn, he will be our 3rd RB Sunday behind Brown & Oliver.

Interesting that they dumped Guy...... made some plays for us last year. Admittedly, I haven't seen much from him this season.

He was pretty bad in preseason, hasn't really used his snaps this year. Palepoi has actually gotten a handful of more snaps than him I believe this year.

Yeah and that he was canned over Palepoi. That says something right there.

I don't know much about Draughn. Apparently, one of his 3 career TDs was against us when he played for KC. He's also spent time with Washington, Baltimore, Indy and Chicago. Interestingly, at UNC he was half of a RB tandem that was collectively known as "Thunder and lightning."

Notably, Draughn (pronounced "drone") is an option to return kicks, averaging 23.6 yards over 25 career attempts.. Oliver handled the role Sunday versus the Bills.

I’m ready to see some “drone strikes” against Jacksonville this weekend!

Who knows, maybe he’ll take a kick back all the way…

Green-Ellis will not be much of a help apparently

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports multiple teams have reached out to free agent BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Green-Ellis is still rehabbing a hip injury he suffered in the preseason. He was released by the Bengals during final cuts and remains unsigned. The Ravens and Vikings are among the teams that have expressed interest. Sep 17 - 7:32 PM

    That's because it's a stealth drone. ;)

Think Oliver is still the #2 back and possibly 3rd down back if he can pass block. Draughn I'm sure will be KR and also provide needed depth and insurance.

Hopefully we don't see any more Eddie Royal on punt returns.

Oliver was drawing a lot of Tolbert comparisons from Josh Lewin, called him a "little ball of knives".

But signing Draughn, based on his skillset, leads me to believe he will be used on quite a few plays attempting to fill the shoes of Woodhead. Not sure what to think about this, but as long as the bulk of the work goes to Mathews and Brown, I am OK with it. I love Woodhead, but felt he was being forced onto the field a little bit too often so far this season, especially in the Cardinals game.

I appreciate that we don't have two rookies behind Brown.

I think this came at the best time possible schedule wise. Lets just get these guys acclimated on both sides of the ball and keep it rolling.
