That simply means they're not going to the playoffs.

AJ might get alot of gunk (some of it well deserved) but the fact he managed to cheat a 2nd last draft and a 3rd next year from the Seahawks on the PROMISE of Whitehurst is just ridiculous

Fire AJ! He let the wrong QB go again! Whitehurst is in the playoffs and Rivers is not.

Laugh all you want at Whitehurst but we invested quite alot of time in him. We drafted another QB in the draft just to release him. Backup for Rivers now is probably just the ageing Volek.

We have THREE 3rd Round picks - TWO 2nd Round Picks (Cro goes from a 3rd to a 2nd because the Jets made the playoffs if I remember the Cro trade "condition" correctly) and our 1st Round pick at #18.

Here is a good link I just found which just helped me see at a glance the draft order (updated 1-3-2011).

We should also get a 4th Round comp pick or so for losing Osgood etc etc.

Volek is a low mileage vet. We can afford to sign Volek for two more years plus easily while a backup QB is drafted and then groomed as trade bait.

The Chargers have the best one-two punch at QB in the league right now.

Let's hope AJ is alot better with this draft than his other recent ones then.

I think some "atta boy" weight has to be given to the retention of our core (Rivers, Gates, Dielman, McNeil etc etc).

We have to build thourgh the draft granted but retaining talent is almost as equally important.

When Buddy Nix was let go, I was wondering what impact this would have on our drafts?

This left John Spanos, the guy rumored to have his PS-2 or whatever pocket rocket game pad at the ready as head of college scouting.

I read somewhere in my graduate studies managers who play video games at work (reads fuking off) is generally not a professional representation of ones self.
