Well, hopefully this goes a little better than the last time they started Chase Daniel in a game against us when we just had to win to get in.

End result was still good, of course, but I'd like it to be a little less nail biting in a do or die game against a backup QB, lol

The QB who nearly beat us last year in the last game of the season with a playoff berth on the line.

Their running game nearly beat us, not the QB.

They were also using 2nd and 3rd stringers on both sides of the ball...

Yep, and you can't watch game tape of players who don't play. The unknown is always hard to prepare for.

Well now they gonna snap their wr td drought for sure.

I can't hope chase has a bad game, he's my guy and he's been the best mizzou tiger QB that retained his job in the nfl rather than move to wr.

But this changes nothing in our gameplan (which I'm pretty sure was already anticipating JC getting a real workload) rather than his avg of 14 per in the last 4.

We can hope reid does his old self on play calls and forgets he has a top 10 running game at his disposal. But I'm betting we gonna have to work on JC 20+ times. Make those hits cumulative til he's begging reid to let him rest.

Awesome. I guess now, its gonna be thrilling down to the wire epic ot time win over Chase "The Ace" Daniel. I mean how else are the chargers to raise are blood pressures and still out preform thier SF. Book it! The chiefs will score thier first td to wr. Hopefully bend mostly than break often.

KC is one of the few teams who doesn't require good QB play to win games. If they can run, matriculate some short YAC passes, and hit Rivers...they can win. They converted a TON of 3rd and longs on us the first game with simple screen passes aided by horrendous tackling.

Chiefs fans dont even care that Smith is out, they just want to see Aaron Murray.

Talk about crazy Deja Vu that we get to play the same QB that we beat last year by the skin of our teeth.

I wonder how many Ravens fans were saying the same thing when they played the Texans last week. This being the NFL any team can beat anyone on any given Sunday. I hope the Chargers don't look past the Chiefs as the Chiefs always play us tough.

The chiefs' WR streak of no TDs could end against us theoretically, how ironic it would be if it was the backup QB that made it happen. I play football (soccer) with a Chiefs fan, who goes on and on about Smith being elite and worth every penny, it'd be very funny for me to not only beat them tomorrow, but to be able to wind him up about Smith.

One TD, completion percentage in the 70's, no INTs.... I think you may be over simplifying things with that statement.

Not saying he played poorly, just that the running game was what did the real damage. I stand by that.

All the Chargers have to do is...
    WIN at Kansas City
    WIN at Pittsburgh
    WIN at Foxborough
    WIN at Phoenix
and the Lombardi goes to San Diego.

    That's it. It's that simple.

When I saw the headline that read "Chase Daniel To Start" I thought it was a verb or action phrase...

That sounds like Jack's genius "strategy":
    "Just win--all the time--dammit!!" :whistling:

(I think the coaches should write it on a 'sticky' and put it on the
    refrigerator
[next to the sweet drawing Manti made for Caoch Barry]
    so the players
remember to try and "Win!" each week...)

IMHO what gashed us the most was their offense's ability to keep our defense off balance. Seemed like with all the misdirection our defenders were playing on their heels most of the game. Hopefully now that we have more core players suited up, we won't look so bad.
Also, odd as it may seem I wouldn't be surprised to see the chefs pass more with Daniels than Smith.

That 2nd one could also be WIN at Cincinnati....or even WIN at Denver. (the 3rd one could be one of those two as well)

Sounds like somebody's making an *** out of U and ME here :roflmao:

While we lost to them already this season, we were missing some key players. Melvin Ingram, Manti Te'o, and Jerry Attaochu were all out, and Brandon Flowers got hurt and missed the second half.
