I'm not the biggest fan of Sermon Edwards. I do think some of his philosophy is too much like Martyball, and I've had enough of that for a lifetime. I do like what he did with the defense in year 1....solid draft.

As for what happend with the Jets.....I think some of that was his fault, but alot of it falls on the GM. If you look at the injuries the Jets suffered early last year..starting 5 different QBs.....its no wonder they struggled, and with most of those players back, its no wonder they're competative this year.

I see every fault in the Chiefs that anyone here could....I don't think anyone saw Both of our OTs leaving in the offseason, but I'm irritated more wasn't done to counter it. I've expressed more than once, last year that I hated Jordan HWY65 Black as an OT. Before hurting his back, Turley was playing at an acceptable level, though he was being pushed back, he wasn't being overran.

I think the Chiefs have to look at this next year as a rebuild.....I'm not in support of giving Gonzalez a big contract....let him go, or trade him for draft mid round draft picks.....The Chiefs need a C, G, 2 OTs, 1-2 DTs, 1-2WRs a fb and a young corner. Thats alot of spots.

The defense isn't old....2 solid, young DEs, 3 young solid LBs(Fox should be starting over bell), 2 excellent young safety prospects(Pollard and Page).

I expect 10-6 this year, and next year to step back at this point, without a busy FA season. I've seen smack about the Chiefs "cap hell" but in truth, they've got like $12mil available now...and will have more due to the retirements of Roaf, probably Shields in the offseason, and whatever happens with Priest. There will be money to spend this summer.

I'll be sure to call on your expertise in dealing with a decade of failure if the Chiefs faulter a couple of more years.

I hope you can get a bus pass to see the Bolts in LA.

You know....I'm pretty sure you're the same clown who made a thread indicating I don't come back after a L last year on eggoOnline....and were wrong then too. I've been available both before and after Every game, win or lose since dropping into eggoville.

If you can't tollerate a little friendly jab on the spelling of your city as "sandy eggo" I guess it must really burn you to see the Chiefs called the Queifs 500 times, or the sheep fornication jokes(ironic since the midwest is more known for beef steaks and pork chops). Pleasantries such as "dick" were issued in my direction before I even logged in the first time.

Take a peek at my first post on this board, or the other one.
I hardly entered the room with sword drawn.
You might want to see a doctor about that chronic vagisilicosis.

Hey its good your a fan of your local team. I'd imagine if your weren't they'd run you out of town. What do they call that. Homerism. Homerism to the extent that you'd be run out of town if you didn't go along with what everyone else around you did.

The Bandwagoner line is getting old, but if thats all they have then we can accept that as a compliment.

They've got to work on those west coast public school issue.
What part of IOWAnian, makes you think I live in KANSAS CITY.(which isn't in Kansas for the slow readers in the group)

I'm a fan of the Chiefs, rain or shine, however I do call them my "bad girlfriend". Its probably relevant to Eggo fans too.

You think she's pretty, and early in the relationship(first 4 weeks of the average season) they're treating you well...you're in love...then, you go to Denver for the weekend, and come back to find she's been blowing the Gardener. She says she'll never do it again, and for a while she doesn't...she builds your hopes back up that its going to work out, and then....you go to pittsburg.

    I love that Hoooor.

Its a good thing you're not a donk fan....I do hate them. I'd just as soon pound rusty barbed wire and fire ants into their peehole than have a good thought about anything associated with that team.

Eggo fans are just a little Misguided.....or dilluded by sun poisoning.

As for Homerism....I don't see it as always liking your team...Its the inability to see that some of your players or coaches suck...ever...and have no tollerance for criticism of them.

I know most won't admit it out loud....but prior to Chiefs week..you think to yourself "I hope Iowanian comes around, he's awesome, intelligent, good looking, well hung and modest"

Sheet, your right. I was thinking iowa and missiouri are one and the same. For some reason they seem the same to me. I hate the donks even more than the raiters now. The donks are a cheating dirty team now. The only thing that the donks deserve is a fist in the mouth.

Post a link. If I did, then the post was made BEFORE you came back. And, it's completely IRRELEVANT here. Stay on POINT for once.

Wow! You STILL don't get what I was saying? Let me put it ANOTHER WAY, even my 2 year old would understand:

Come in here with your TYPE OF DEMEANOR and it looks like smack. Get it now genius?

Again, DEMEANOR shows what you are.

WOW! You can't even take the SLIGHTEST bit of criticism. Welcome to assclownville.

Won't take my bet? Guess I was right. You couldn't hold your tongue that long.

How about 1000 Angry Bumblebees in the rusty sheriff star? I think most bronco fans could use a dose of that.

the Raitards are so pathetic, we don't hear or see anything out of their fanbase of tongue chewers.

    lol

I'm not much for smack talk, so I will just welcome you, and hope for a hard-fought, injury-free contest. I do wish the Chiefs were not bit so hard by the injury bug, however. I always like to see teams playing each other at 100%. Makes for a better and more entertaining game.

Thanks. I'd like to see a week with no injuries myself. I was pretty disapointed in the number of Bolt fans I saw cheering Merriman hurting Holmes last year.

I'd like to see how many teams can lose both starting OTs, 1 of the replacement and the 3rd, starting FB, Starting QB, backup RB....and still expect to be whoopin the defending champs.

    Good luck sunday.

Your bet? I see you whining about my posting style, like you've done the past couple of years....I see you offering that I change my posting style if the Chiefs lose, and I come back(which I always do) But I don't see an offer of a realistic wager on the game, and I don't see you offering anything if you don't win. I was born at night, but not last night.

Maybe you should try finding a sense of humor in a larger size....the one you're squeezing into now makes your arse look fat.

Do you know that like clockwork? Is it because you're in the stable, behind the bovine standing on a bucket?

Seriously.....thats 4-5 times this afternoon with the same beastiality joke, that isn't really all that cutting. Work on it sport, and get back to me.

YOU are a loyal chefs fan. CAn't take that away from you.

Us charger fans have waited along time to have a good team. And now we have one. Needless to say but the team we face each week is the enemy. And we really really want to beat that team.

So don't feel bad that you won't find any sympathy here. :icon_toast:

    You're sick, man!!!

This joke had nothing to do with beastiality. I don't know where you got that from.
I don't know who told you those beastiality jokes earlier but it wasn't me.

Though I have mentioned a few times that your fan base is just big, fat, corn fed cattle. You're already branded KC and to the slaughter house with you this Sunday!!!:bolt:

Wooohooo! First post. Long time UT'er, followed a mess of you here from there.

The one thing I love is how they want to downplay Philip, talking about how they hope to put the game in his hands hand have him beat us.

All I can say is that I hope Herm the Germ sees it that way, too. If so, they're in for a long long game.

Poor Dolt4life...smack weaker than his erectile function without a rubber band, a viagra, and the back to school catalog.

Foober....I never expect sympathy on a rival board. I'd have found the url to Oprah's board if I was looking for that. I can take ribbing and smack, and I can sling it. Rivalry is natural and its fun. Stupidity is a little harder to swallow.

Link.....Of Course Chief fans expect the D to try to put the game in River's hands. He's not LT, who is a fine RB. He's still relatively unproven, and any team that stops your running game, has a good chance of winning.....same as any other defensive plan. It all starts with stopping the run....football 101.

Rivers has done nothing yet to deserve the respect of a St Peyton or McNabb.

I went to eggoOnline...My appologies for attributing a thread to you, began by Yantosdolt.

As for demeanor, you're acting like a condescending d*ckh*l*, and it takes a hairy brass pair to whine about demeanor with the tone you choose to respond.

Now, concerning holding tongues.....I'm guessing you've spent a fair amount of time pressing yours to balloon knot.

    Hey Jack.

It's not smack, it's just fact!!!
Just like the Raider fans, all you can do is talk about what your team did twenty some years ago... Because Your Current Team Sucks!!!

    And That's 100% Fact!!!!

What is it with you, beastiality and erectile functions?
Is that some kind of fetish you have?

Props to you for coming back to apologize. Most folks wouldn't have done that. :icon_toast:

    Cripes...here we go again...

I'm not going to make this a big deal. You PISSED me off by wrongly saying I posted a thread for you not coming back after a loss. I responded in a way someone who's pissed would.

Again, come in with respect, get it back. In the Smack forum, anything goes (just about anything anyway).

Got it out of your system yet?

    Now...back to football.

All I can say is the Chiefs have no running game since Willie Roaf retired. Priest holmes or Larry whatever. They both are average backs (in holmes case, he was an avg. back) that benefited from an outstanding line. Now the Chiefs have a mediocre line at best. LJ ain't **** behind the current line, nor will he be again unless the cheifs can pull a few stud o-linemen out of their ***. :lol

Once Roaf retired, Richardson was let go, Welbourn got suspended, Vermiel quit, Al Saunders was stolen, and Herm Edwards was hired that offense was doomed!!

I doubt LJ will stay with KC too much longer, he seems like one of those guys who would bail if his team kept goin downhill.

Funny thing is it's really hard to talk smack about the Chiefs. They're a division rival and all, but I never considered them a threat. Kind of like when the Seahawks were in our division. The teams that have dominiated this division have been the Chargers, the Donks, and the Faiders, not the Chiefs. The Chiefs are like the red headed step child of the AFC West. Never really good enough and a team that doesn't scare anyone.

The only thing that scares me ahbout the Chiefs is the crowd.

No one on that Team jumps up at me scares me any more.

Now that crowd is a different story, but if we can jump up quickly, and keep them out of it, we can and will control the line of scrimage.

We wont have to worry about Philip changing the play with no crowd noise, and false starts with our Olinemen.

And why would Philip worry about not having the respect of Peyton?

    Peyton cannot beat our defense.
Pissburgh stopped our running game, and could not stop Philip.

If you stop Philip, then LT will have a huge day, pick your poison.

Then again there is no one on that defense that can stop anyone on the Chargers.
