The Chargers' defense couldn't finish. The end result on this chilly Sunday afternoon in the heartland? The Chargers were finished.

Lawrence Tynes kicked a career-long 53-yard field goal with 11 seconds remaining to defeat the Chargers 30-27 before 77,752 at Arrowhead Stadium.

"We talked about losing games like this, of having to find a way to win,'' Chargers defensive lineman Luis Castillo said. "I thought we were there at the end of the game when things were going right.''</blockquote>
