No kidding, that is insane money. Seems pretty stupid to make such a big commitment to a guy with only one decent year under his belt.

Fine with me, I think Tyler Thigpen has more upside, he played pretty well against us. But this is Cassel's job now, there definitely won't be an open competition.

What's insane is that $28 million is guaranteed. They should have waited until the end of this year to see if he's the real deal.

    :icon_rofl:

    You got that right.

All KC has as good WR's are Bowe and Engram and that is not going to be enough for Mister Franchise. Cassel is going to be a good Hand Off Franchise specialist to Johnson.

I see a Sweep of KC this year.

Me too. I had some doubts about the game @Arrowhead, but have managed to pretty much erase them.

I have my doubts about Cassell behind this KC OL & in a Todd Haley system sans Fitzgerald & Boldin.

It's going to be interesting to see how the ex-NE guys do this year now that they've left the nest. Particulary the coaches/FO folks. :icon_twisted:

I think Bowe is a very good reciever, however...no TG, and no other real threat out there.

I think their OL is going to be better, all those high draft picks will start to pay off.

The key for them is going to be LJ and the running game. If they can run it, and then use play action it COULD work.

However, Cassell has spent his career running the pats spread style offense, so it's a system switch for him. And, he won't have the targets he had in NE.

Cassel had a much better offense around him in New England and he still managed to lead the NFL in most times sacked.

Pioli is sure putting a lot of faith in a guy who had one decent season with a stacked offense around him after never having started a game since high school.

Buck You are 1 Million % correct about KC's OL it is in shambles for Mister Franchise. If KC had Fitzgerald and Boldin to include Bowe and on his last legs Engram they still would not produce much because Mister Franchise would not have the OL to help him out. :icon_rofl:

Vrabel and Thomas are old and on their last legs. They are not going to be all that much help.

Mister Franchise better cash his check before he becomes Mister big time Caca. :icon_rofl:

Buck what does Token think about KC's Chances this year and years to come?

Well, of course she is hopeful but feels that they've done very little to help themselves for this year. She was devastated that they let Tony go, has utter disdain for all things that spring from the tainted soil of Foxboro, & thinks that 3rd overall was too high for Tyson Jackson. She's never had much use for LJ & is scratching her head over the Cassell contract. But she's a loyal fan, so hope springs eternal.

Other than that, she's excited for football.

Thank you oh so much. :)

I like it that even Chiefs Fans are hating the Pats.

I am shocked that Token no offense there is not liking LJ what so ever. :icon_eek:

I am sorry but I think Cassel is going to be a Big Franchise Bust in KC and have to go back to the Pats.

Thigpen will once again be the Chiefs QB with possibly Croyle being his backup.

She thought that Vermeil's diaper remark to LJ was & still is fitting. She's still pissed at Merriman for the hit on Priest.

And she has plenty of experience with New England'ers - one of her sisters married into a family of them who live Attleboro, just outside of Foxboro. They're actually pretty fun - but they're still Pats fans. :icon_evil:
