Who in their right mind would trade us anything for Whitehurst? Has that guy even sniffed the field in the regular season yet?

I would agree but they did take Cleo Lemon a few years ago. It would have been worth a shot.

Miami is reeling right now. I figure a Hail Mary from AJ might actually work. Maybe Mangini will bite soon

My thought's exactly, as soon as I read the topic. Whitehurst flashed through my mind.

That's the truth, and Cleveland is who I've had in mind all along. They run a 3-4, and in a couple of weeks they'll be ready to throw in the towel on the season. Vangina is an egomaniac who would be willing to trade some of his better defensive lineman because they don't fit into his "system." A third or fourth rounder could probably net us a starting defensive lineman.

Only problem is that we play them late in the season. He (or AJ) might actually take that into account. Not that AJ's worrying about Whitehurst beating us, but still... I'm sure they'd want more than a crappy 3rd string QB.

Might have to throw in a crappy safety!
(do I really need to name names on this one?)

I'll take "Rhymes With Fart" for $300 Alex!

BTW -- On a serious note the trade deadline is 10/20. If anybody moves it will have to be soon.

Its gotta be more like 10/20, there is a countdown on the bleacher report. http://bleacherreport.com/2009-nfl-trade-deadline

There are much better available QBs than Whitehurst, so I doubt we get anything for him. I still think Buster Davis has a small role on this team at some point. Even after Osgood complained last year he has still produced this year. I don't see much to trade except draft picks.

You're right, it is indeed 10/20. Was looking at the 2008 deadline. Nice catch!

Does that mean they will be in Mass.? That's the only state that has a Foosball team that allows BFF's to wed, isn't it?

If it will get us a decent fat boy, I'd give them Whitehurst, Buster AND the crappy safety.

Eh, Lemon at least played well against 3rd stringers, Whitehurst couldn't even do that, and he's in what his 4th year? He's no better than Henne.

Didnt Whitehurst play the tailend of a regular season game a few seasons back?

Regardless, Thigpen is a much better pickup for Miami than Charlie would be.
