Finally, somebody speaks about the non working cameras but his words were "there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the call so nothing would have changed."

Well how come ALL of the commentators were saying it wasn't an interception.
His story was "TV viewers can see a lot more than the refs can under review."

WTF are they trying to hide?!!!

If what Chris Collinsworth says is true, than the NFL needs to seriously look at the way they let the refs view replays. If we can see it on HD with multiple angles, the refs should be able to see every angle as well. So the games goes 3 minutes longer- who cares- more chances for commercials, more money.

The league is worth billions and Collinsworth is saying that the viewers at home can see more than the refs who actually have to make the call to decide the outcomes of games???? That is a friggin' embarrassment.

And don't even get me started about the fact the replay couldn't even play? Ever think about having a back-up system????

It's pathetic. We're watching a multitude of replays at home, and the refs can't call someone up to get confirmation on the call? Why can't they call the refs up in the booth, and let them decide whether or not Chambers caught the ball? There's no way for them to check a replay anywhere?

How about if the ref pulls his head out of the replay booth (and his *** for that matter) and looks at the ****ing jumbotron.

Collinsworth didn't know what he was talking about. He thought it was a simultaneous catch so it wouldn't be reviewable - except that it WASN'T a simultaneous catch because Chambers obviously caught it alone and then Champ yanked it away after he was down.

Collinsworth is totally overrated and if this had happened to one of the "darlings" of the NFL the uproar would be HUGE. Instead, all we get hear about is how big the Rat's balls are for going for the 2-point conversion.

Funniest thing about that segment is that all they showed was a clip where you couldn't tell when the ball came out and talked about it as if that was all they had to work with.

    WTF are they hiding?

I've never even heard of the replay tv's EVER malfunctioning before??

But... there is a 2 minute fix it rule?? WTF? Why not have two viewers wired sep, Has this ever happened before??

I agree, wtf can't they ask the booth???

it was shocking, and this lack of talking about it AT ALL is very very odd...

Collinsworth is a Charger hater, he always has been, going back to his playing days.

Costas and Olbermann have no problem slanting anything available to bolster their view of reality and then presenting it as fact. Olbermann was demoted last week at MSNBC for exactly that reason. (and that is saying something)

I'm at a loss as to why either one of these tools has a job in front of a camera. They have zero credibility. Costas should have been fired after his comments during the opening ceremonies of the 2006 olympics.

collinsworth has done well explaining what they tell him to explain. Very probably why he's still around.

The nfl and the refs cheated today. And they're trying to cover it up. WElcome to the usa.

funny thing is Chris Collinsworth did a segment in regards to instant replay for Bob Costas last seasone on HBO .. its no wonder why he showed some concern for us knowing that all they ( field judges ) had to do was call the top brass who are also watching this game to help correct certain problems !!!

agreed that Chris is no Charger fan but he did mention that this ref made a very poor call ...

    :2guns:

True but he seemed to have dropped that when LT and Brees came into the picture.
