It's a busy morning for news about former Jacksonville Jaguars backup quarterbacks.

Which is another way of saying it's a slow news day.

Anyway, former NFL quarterback Cleo Lemon has signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.

"Signing with the Toronto Argonauts is a great opportunity with a great organization," said Lemon in a statement issued by the team. "Now it is my responsibility to be in the best shape of my life and learn as much about the Canadian game as possible before I hit the field. I'm excited about this opportunity and intend to take full advantage of it. I believe in preparation and will go full steam ahead in doing my part to help lead this team to future success."

Lemon started seven games for the Dolphins in 2007 and last played in a regular-season game in 2008 with the Jaguars. He was briefly under contract to the Ravens during training camp in 2009 but was cut before the season.

Well, good luck to him. The Argos are BAD team. They need all the help they can get.

I like CFL. I have some great memories of the "Baltimore Stallions." The only American CFL team that ever won the Grey Cup and ever will.

Tickets were only like $15-20 and you could pretty much sit anywhere. The best attendance they had was 53K.

Good luck, Cleo! I hope they have really good incentive clauses up there like extra crullers and beer, eh?! And forget to wear your took, it's a little chilly.

    Pointy :icon_twisted: (Koorookuku koorookuku...)

Cleo Lemon had the best arm and wheels between Rivers, Flutie and Brees. I want Cleo back. :bolt:

I would trade a 4th round pick to the Toronto Argonauts for Cleo! :icon_tease:

I thought Cleo would have been a starting QB in the NFL by now...

    Guess I was wrong...

The Dophins just killed that dude. Cleo looked good then Cleo looked like **** but who knows with that whacked out coaching scene and lack of O-line.

A.J uses his 4th or 5th round draft choice to nab a QB who can be groomed because Volek will not be around much longer.

I would have liked to see Kevin O'Connell brought in to be the 3rd string QB, he did good in SDSU, I didn't know that the jets picked him up after NE released him, oh well :icon_shrug:
