chargers: QB Charlie Whitehurst agrees on 2-year contract with Chargers. Welcome back, Charlie.(3 minutes ago from Twitter for Mac)

No more INT's for PR with Charlie on the headset again. Now all we need to do is bring back David Binn and the curse reversal will be complete!

So... does this mean that if Seattle fails to land Flynn we can trade them Billy for a swap of 2nd's and two 3rds?

I wonder if Volek has informed the Bolts that he intends to retire or something, or are we just taking on Charlie as our #3 QB and potential eventual replacement for Philip....

I see Charlie as #3 this year and #2 next year when Volek retires.

That's a likely scenario, and as our #2, perhaps we can get Charlie some good mop up time in a few blowouts, and then trade him for a bunch again! :D

I'm with you Lance !!!...............total headscratcher this one. [IMG]

Surely we are not wasting a valuable roster spot on a 3rd QB who can't play for shite anyway.

He might "know it", doesn't mean he's ever demonstrated he "can do it".

Something has to have taken place for Volek to be released this quickly I would think.

Must have been offered a starting job somewhere you'd have to think.

    Possibility for sure....

Charlie must be working for peanuts, which is about what he brings to this team as far as output goes. ;)

So he wasn't good enough to back up Rivers in 2010 but he is after two horrible years in seattle? Logic?

Granted Volek is old and was getting a little pricey, hell restructure his deal. You bring in this guy who wasn't good when we had him, wasn't good when we traded him (credit AJ for somehow making Seattle want to acquire him for a third and swapping second) and now he's supposed to be good after doing jack in Seattle? I mean AJ's done well this off-season but three very very questionable moves today in one shot

BULL CRAP! We have logic here!

It's faulty logic, but that is STILL logic is it not?
