    ...Pathetic coaching ..AGAIN!!!

    (1) Pisspoor clock management. Even when the Bolts were down by 17, there seemed to be no sense of urgency. The plays took forever to get in and a ball snapped. The only reason this game got close was the onside kick that seemed to catch the Saints by surprise by some miracle???

    (2) Redzone playcalling. Three short field goals instead of TDs, again due to predictable playcalling and players making constant stupid penalties.

    (3) How'd you like that delay penalty on Rivers, followed by a wasted timeout 2 plays later when they couldn't even get a play in. They sure could have used that T.O. at the end!

    (4) Another week of defensive brainstorming by Ted Cottrell. Has anyone ever told that fatso that Drew likes to throw short... ALL PHUCKIN DAY!!! The announcers and commentators were again BEWILDERED.

Oh that's right I forgot...Dean Spanos is happy with this coaching staff. Excuse me while a puke :icon_evil:

...:icon_party: :icon_party: :icon_party: Oh it's already begun! Did you see 49ers coach Singletary unload in his press conferance? That is what this team needs I'm afraid.

He actually kicked Vernon Davis off the field in the 3rd quarter of that game for getting stupid...some of that could definitely be used around these parts right about now.

We ain't dead yet, but I see the vultures circling...

You watch that three hour athletic bowel movement and you are worried about the coaching? Try worrying about the very real prospect of us not winning another game this season.

I hope that that plane ride home is a 10 hour version of Singletary's press conference.

I also hope that on the flight A.J. and Norv meet and decide to hire/promote a new DC.

That's a bit extreme...given that we have 4 games remaining against the division.

But we're going to have to get after things just to get to 8-8, and that just shouldn't be.

With all that has been said about Norv being a offense genius it seemed by my recollection that Marty was far more creative with offensive plays than Norv has ever been.

Just for example how many times has LT been used on a pass play. Not that should be a regular theme but it seems as if Norv plays by the regular football themes and the glimpse at a creative play this year was calling the on side kick to little to late.

Players are as inspired by coaches play calling as they are by their own perfomance on the field and Marty was much more of a risk taker than Norv seems to be. I see Norv as I see a deer in my headlights when thay are about to be struck down by a semi.

Cotrell needs to go ASAP!!!!!!! .......but the head coach is just that, does he have any power on the field or is he just a puppet of AJ????

Get Mike Nolan as DC. Then we'd be the 1998 Redskins all over again.

(And you can just shoot me now.)

    That's who I want.
AJ wants an offensive guru, we'll remember his days as OC in Minnesota?
He also wins. He might be an arrogant bastard but not only does he win, but he has players respect. None of the players wanted him fired.

It's easy to see that the players do not respect Norv.

After seeing todays game i was extremely frustrated with the D (like everyone). The Zone defense would not stop!!! Someone please make it stop!!! Here are some thoughts from this game.

    1) WAY Too many Penalties on D.

    2) The offense was good. Not their fault. 30 point would have won any game with a decent D.

    3) THE ZONE D AGAINST BREES HAD ZERO EFFECT! And yet they stuck to it?

    4) Cro is a victim of Teddy's horrible management. The zone if forcing him to drop coverage after 15 yards and his receiver makes huge plays. This is making him look really bad.

    5) the pass rushers are there. USE THEM! They are some of the best in league.

    6) This is not going to get any better unless we had an aggressive DC that knows how to use this D...Rivera for DC!

    7) and for the 7th week in a row...I hope the Broncos lose next week so we can stay in the race...I dont like being at the mercy of other teams

Not necessary in this case. The Saints offense is capable of putting up 30+ points a game.

Norv Turner, head coach, and Mike Nolan, defensive coordinator, led the 1998 Redskins to an 0-7 start. After the bye they finally won some games, but they still finished 6-10.

I lived in DC through the Norv Turner era and the Chargers remind me very much of his Redskins. There's no doubt that Norv can create & coach a formidable offense, but I don't know that he has the intangibles to be a good head coach. Just when you thought the Redskins were pretty good, they would lose games in the most soul-sucking, inexplicable ways. Norv's Redskins always walked this fine line between looking pretty good and looking kind of sloppy which made you think, "If only this or this hadn't had happened, they would've won." Norv's very good at intellectualizing losses so you can say, "Oh, yeah, he's right - they were so very close", but in the end they're still a bunch of losers.
