COCKY NEW ENGLAND TEMPTS FATE WITH '19-0' TRADEMARK

    I really think it is much ado about nothing. If you want to trademark something for the day after the superbowl, you have to start the process early.

    Now the dumb part is that what if some other team goes 19-0, should they not have the right? That is the hubris behind it, not the timing of the filing

    I don't think they should be allowed to trademark it because of what bigcarson beat me in pointing out.

    It'd be kinda idiotic if another team goes 19-0 and, what? They can't point out what their record was?

    Donald Trump trademarked "You're Fired"

    "Let's get ready to rumble" is also trademarked.

    So the Pats taking the trademark on 19-0 doesn't surprise me.

    Now...should they lose and some other team go 19-0...I'd love to see them enforce it without getting laughed at.
