2011 - Broncos game, OT, in preparation for game winning field goal, won't go into details

2009 - home game vs Cincinnati - less then one minute, went 46yds in 51 seconds with their backup center going down and numerous injuries on the OL. Remember Hardwick was still injured, Clary was out (Dombo in), they lost Mrzucowski for the season during the drive and were going with a third C they had hired off the street. Passed constantly, found openings, Kaeding kicks 52yd FG to win the game. No playing for overtime. Did this after Shayne Graham kicks game tying field goal.

2007 - away vs Tennessee - OT - after tying game going 80yds in 2:15 in 4th, the Chargers drove into field goal range, maximum range for Kaeding, with a pass to Gates on a third & 4. After an initial run, Rivers threw a WR screen to Jackson who took the ball down to the 16yd line. They went for passes to move the ball down and only when it was in chipshot territory, started running the ball. They drove down the field hard to tie the game after being brutalized by the Titans including injuries to Merriman, Neal and Rivers, tied the game, and were aggressive in getting the ball into field goal range to the point it was chipshot.

Norv has been trying to play safe because his job was in jeopardy (guaranteed now he will be fired). He should remember that Marty lost his job in part because of an excessively conservative temperament but I also remember him being very aggressive during the 14-2 season.

Marty got conservative in the playoffs - occasionally in regular season games which came down to the wire, but in general regular season was smashmouth with him. It was like once we hit one-and-done territory he and Cam's balls would shrivle up and die.

Norv has been conservative in the past too but like you pointed out.. not like yesterday. There would have been at least some attempt at wrapping that game up. Instead, we saw straight up cowardice and he showed he had zero confidence in his players.
