The NFL's most overrated QB assured that his perfect streak of being unable to compile a winning season was kept alive with a loss against the Packers yesterday. At 5-8 with three games remaining, the best he can do is 8-8.

All of the off-season adulation from the press, being basically anointed the savior in Chicago, all for naught.

Couldn't happen to a nicer douchebag!

...just sucks that he's not in Denver anymore. I don't have anything against the Bears. I love hating the Donkos and miss having the biggest *** of em all up there to hate on.

I don't think Cutler is overrated, but I do think the move to Chicago was. QBs are nothing without good recievers. I think Cutler needs a special group of receivers too. Cutler likes to gun the ball most of the time, doesn't have many touch passes to his credit. I think Chicago needs certain recievers that can handle those passes, and I think Bears playcalling went away from that. They should actually be calling plays the same way Denver is still doing.

I'm not sure what your definition of overrated is then. He is constantly tongued by the national media, called a "franchise quarterback," etc., and he has done absolutely DICK in the NFL. He has yet to produce a winning season, and only has one Pro Bowl because voting ends so early. I'm not saying he'll never be any good, or that he has no skills, but he is certainly highly over praised and overrated by the national media.

The blind squirrel analogy comes to mind.

I'd rather they not have a better shot at stumbling upon it.

I'm just glad that Cutler continues to prove he's nothing but a spoiled self absorbed brat

Now I wouldn't mind the Broncos coming back down to earth

over 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns last year... I would have been excited if I was a Bears fan. I would have told myself, the Broncos probalby make the playoffs last year if their defense doesn't give up 400 yards a game. I guess I must have missed those crowning commentaries. I remember when he took over for Plummer and had some bad games but everyone recognized his arm strength. And that's pretty much what I've seen since, is people recognizing his strength and accuracy, but nobody except himself claiming he was Elway.

So you missed them calling him a "future hall of famer" last season? Talking about how successful he is despite literally NEVER winning anything ever. Not in High School. Not in College. Not in the Pro's.

Seriously... the sports media has been falling all over him up until this season and even now there are some analysts who continue to blame everyone else but Jay for his struggles.

Cutler will either be out of the NFL or imitating a knot in the pine within the next 2 year's. Y'all better be on the look out for your next patsie.

I did, I missed. I don't see him as that, but I don't see this bad season continuing for him like this next year either.

4,000 yards and 25 TDs isn't surprising for a guy playing on a team that passes most of the time.

I guess you don't watch NFL Total Access and ESPN NFL Live much. They have been tonguing this guy for ages, I don't recall ever seeing a guy get so much love for doing so little. After his hissy fit in Denver, and the subsequent trade, he was being fawned over like they were already carving his bust for Canton. Seriously, it's been ridiculous.

With one more win the Broncos will have winning record immediately after dumping Cutler. They had 5 consecutive winning seasons prior to him becoming their opening day starter.

The Bears also had a winning season immediately prior to Cutler becoming their starting QB.

Every season in college the guy had a losing record as well.

But boy does he have a great arm:icon_rofl:

Many people in the media were touting Cutler's arrival as turning the Bears in to legit Superbowl contenders....:icon_rofl:

I do watch sometimes, but I don't get too stuck on what they're saying. It's ESPN, they have their biases for; A) bigger market franchises B) teams that have won titles in the last decade C) all else fails, back to Favre. They're the same with all sports though in my opinion.
