Beside the Tee being a whimsical prop, the message which it conveys is right on point! Let me elaborate beyond the obvious desire to win:

The charger are 5-1, among a handful or less teams which have 5 wins. In Chargers case, they lost one game to AZ which they were ahead of into the 3rd Q. The other wins; against Seattle, Buffalo, Jaguars and the Jets were convincing wins, whereby the Chargers controlled the clock and won the ToP battle. In the Seattle and the Jets game, they established a very strong ground game. Every season, most mediocre team suffers a bad game or two, a blow-out or so. This season it was the hapless Jets against the Chargers when nothing went right for the Jets, which are NOT as bad a team as their record suggests! Let us not forget that in the NFL, sometimes the difference between a 7-9 team and a 9-7 team is just "pure luck".

The Raiders game was one of those games which could have really gone the other way (one could argue the same about the AZ game in our favor which is a legitimate argument) My point being that the Chargers are a legit 5-1 team and not a fluky 5-1 team BUT they have not reached this status via the traditional means of domination in the trenches and a punishing ground game. They have achieved what they have so far, because first and foremost the QB play has been almost text book perfection! However, we know that will probably not remain a constant throughout the season because everyone, including a venerable QB, is prone to having a bad day.

I summarize by coming full circle: the message which liuget conveys is legit: (pun intended)

In order to prove dominance, the Chargers must win the battle of the trenches against a good divisional foe which has a very good DL, if not a very good OL. Time for the team to prove that it can not afford to merely rely on Philip's quick release, craftiness and accuracy. Oliver has emerged as a legitimate threat and the OL is obligated to do its darndest to open up holes for this Little Tank. Furthermore, Mr. Liuget and his brethren must put their money where their mouth is and KO the KC OL.

    That was LONG!

Maybe Liuget should spend more time watching some game film on how to stop a team rather then designing T-Shirts. Or better yet spend more time practicing tackling!

Instead of making T-shirts, every defensive player that missed a tackle should refund $1,000.00 (per whif) to be refunded to the season ticket holders who had to endure this B.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good post Blitzmeister. You were right and almost none of this happened. Maybe a little bit more heat out of the trenches could have saved that hapless secondary. Oh well. It was close despite it all.

Unfortunately Sandy, I saw that coming when I knew that the opponent had the perfect personnel in the backfield to smash us in the mouth. The fact that yesterday's game was so close, tells us that the Chefs have very inept receivers!

Back in the day a ticket used to cost $35.00. I made a sign that was torn down, but it did make an article the next day in the SD Union/Tribune for being the sign of the day. It said "Instead of $35.00 a ticket, how about a dollar a point"
