The kid who picked up the loose ball after the blocked kick had his knee on the ground when he first touched the ball. That should not have been called a TD.... his knee was on the ground when he picked up the ball.

Isn't a blocked kick also considered the same as a fumble????

I had to go directly to YouTube and enlarge the Video and The holder was coming up as he was picking up the ball, his knee was coming up as he was taking control of the ball by picking it up.

An exception has ALWAYS been made for the guy holding the placement. Otherwise, each placekick attempt would be blown dead as soon the holder (with his knee on the ground) receives the snap.

I talked with a guy that I work with, he calls High School football games as a Head Ref here in San Diego. Now with that each Conference can choose to call a rule differently, so he does not know how how they call that rule up in Michigan.

He should of been down where he was. Not because his knee was on the ground, but because he stayed down for a few seconds. Or if he would of just picked the ball up and started to run with it, he could of kept the ball in play.
