    I'd definitely do that.

Somehow I doubt this rumor is legit.

I could maybe believe AJ Hawk for Cromartie and a draft pick of ours......No one is going to give up a first....much less a first and a player for Cro....The playoff highlights of him dogging it alone are enough to scare off any teams that might have thought about paying a premium for him prior to last year.

If we get a 2nd or 3rd for Cro, I'll be stoked.

Yeah I'm thinking just an middle 2nd rounder, this seems through the roof. I want to know where the author got his info.

We don't need AJ Hawk. Another Linebacker???

Why would the Packers want Cro anyway??? Their DB's are better than Cro. Cro would be 3rd, or 4th on their depth chart.

Cro sucks. Just another player who had ONE good season and never lived up to that one season. There's hundreds of NFL players just like that in history.

    Packers don't need Cro.

To turn around and trade him to someone else for a higher 2nd round pick.:icon_shrug:

I think in this deal Hawk is just the added player, the real deal is Cro + a 2nd for the Packers 1st....they just added Hawk to dump his contract on us.

I'd trade Cro for a Genuine Nike "Bombs Away Poster" right now.

Well then one problem; Hawk's done less then Cro has. In fact hawk has basically been average at best with a giant contract. Who the heck is going to want to take that up?

Uhhh why not release him and take the cap hit? At least we wouldn't have to deal with him later. Or we could uhhhhh force him into retirement?

Because we'd be getting a higher draft pick in the process? :icon_shrug:

Why in the hell would they trade for someone then cut them and lose money? Why make a deal if you just intend on dumping the guy? How does that even begin to make sense?

Hawk won't restructure and I heard he's scheduled to make $5 mil next year, and $10 mil the year after. So it'd be a 1 year rental unless he for some reason changes his mind.

Also the offer was supposedly made last off-season, I think the new rumor is Hawk and a 2nd for Cro and a 3rd.

So you got a guy with a big *** salary who was a high draft pick who hasn't done squat and we trade for him (also knowing we don't have a place to put him) and in exchange we give up our headache and a second rounder?

It's funny to me that everyone is sooo fast to bounce Cro out of SD. I am sorry to tell you all but Cason has shown nothing to impress me or make me feel that he is better than Cro. Sure he can tackle better but I assure you based on what I have seen that his cover skills are not as good.

We have not seen enough of him to make an assessment of his cover skills except one play on the goal line where he was beaten by a TE-WR route combination.

I saw him play at Arizona, and trust me, he can cover and will be a good corner in this league. You make a judgment based on very, very little of actual play and mostly on the fact that he has not played much for us at all.

It's about EFFORT. Cro rarely gives 100% and NEVER on tackling opportunities. So... we KNOW what he is.

At least with Cason, there's an unknown. Maybe he won't be a superstar, but we have got to give him the opportunity to prove that he'll at least give effort.

I can forgive getting burnt every so often if I see EFFORT as nickel says. Cro fails hard when it comes to effort and the tape doesn't lie. Cason is trying out there, he just needs more pt.

Mistakes happen, but to not give full effort isn't forgivable especially when the season is on the line.

Merriman called out Cro for his lack of effort during TC and he had to do it again against the Jets game. It's clear it isn't just a 1 time deal and his teammates are getting tired of it.

The absolute best case scenario would be getting a low 2nd rounder for him. In my opinion I think it would actually be more the wiser to keep him at this point--unless of course we are made an offer we can't refuse.
