I had a feeling they would do this i.e. come out early. Fair play to them for doing what they have done so far. Fingers crossed Spanos treats this with respect now and has the team stay put in SD where they belong.

Must say Adam Day is very impressive. Although it was kinda funny how quickly he and others said 'we're done!' and I don't blame them. They've all worked hard on this for no compensation right. If the Chargers end up staying this team will be lauded and rightly so. Kudos to the CSAG group now over to you Mayor and Deano.

So what happens if PSLs don't sell like hotcakes? Who supplies the money until they sell'?

At least from the survey I took they had a few plans for the PSL's (And all of them were way cheaper then the PSL's of most other teams).

Plan 1: $3000 PSL per seat, ticket prices go up by 20%
Plan 2: $5000 PSL per seat, ticket prices go up by 10%
Plan 3: $10,000 PSL per seat, ticket prices do not go up

In each case the PSL could be financed through the team for a 10 year annual payment plan.

To me, Plan 2 seems the most reasonable. 20% ticket price increase when mine are already 1200 a seat is big. Plan 3 just wont be done. Even if they don't raise the tickets in year 1, they will in 2-10 so it doesn't really matter. The only bonus with PSL's is they are an investment. If the team does good, their cost goes up and they are resalable by the owner of the PSL.

Still a ways to go before a deal is done but it is a good starting point.

    I just won't pay that
They should pay it not me
Or they should pay your PSL of you have been a season ticket holder for more that 10 years
To show that they do care about the fans

But they are a business, not a charity, and they are in the business of making money. PSL's will be part of any plan for a new stadium anywhere in the US. Bigger portion of the plan in larger cities, but still part of the plan in every city.

Supply and Demand is a bitch. The more we want their products, the more they rape our wallets.

Pretty funny to hear Mark Davis say he is pledging $500MIL (200nfl loan + 300faiders) to a stadium effort in Oakland. I guess I get what the Chargers are doing, but would be nice to hear the same.

Good news for me is that the equivalent to my lower view end zone seats would likely not be considered premium and that would mean no PSL for me.

I guess we won't know until the final details are announced, but what the CSAG proposed had PSLs on the "premium seats." They also suggested a ticket surcharge which I am fine with.

    Sorry San Diegans,
The mayor said he wanted to begin negotiations on June 1 and we can't get to the table until June 2.
So the whole deal is off!
    Signed,
