This is about as scientific as it gets guys and gals...

Make your choice of the statement that best describes your current feeling towards this team. The results should give us a good feeling as to how the fan base is handling our 1-2 situation.

Chargers will win the next 3 games versus division rivals, go 4-2 overall and 3-0 division.

We'll still win the division at 13-3 or 12-4 and enter as the #3 or #4 seed.

Pats will be #1, Colts #2, Steelers and Chargers #3 or #4.

2-1 in the next 3 is acceptable, anything less than that (specially if the problem is coaching) then off with their heads! (Turner and Cotrell) of course, even though that will be my sentiment it does very little good to change coaching staffs at the middle of the season, so I guess they have the whole season to prove themselves

maybe not with the expectations we had going into the season, but with the lower expectations brought upon by their crappy play it is acceptable, baby steps

If we're going to rebound... it HAS to be 3-0.

Looks as if the overall state of the fans is a "concerned positive" thus far. Lets see how many people respond and post a poll result.

Very good points on the 2-1 versus 3-0 for the next three games...

At this point and time, I would be happy with a 3-3 start at the end of week 6. The only reason I say this is due to the @ Denver game. That is one helluva a place to win a ball game.

4-2 would be a great turn around heading into the bye week. That would leave 3 "super tough" games left on the schedule (Indy/B-Mo and @ KC). At this time, nothing is a cake walk...We need to find and define the 07 Chargers, once that is done, we can really start to predict our destiny.

Implied information contained in the two options that say..."THE SEASON IS OVER".

Not beating our division rivals will say very unpleasant things about this coaching staff. If we're not ready for them at this point then we won't be ready for much at all. This is crunch time.

3 Division games in a row is huge...Taking all three would be HUGE going into the buy and we would be 1/2 way to the series sweep.

As of this writing, the majority of participating fans are keeping an open mind. A loss at home to KC would be a really bad thing amongts fans IMO....

I'd normally be concerned with enough beer being the cooler, but living in Austin, TX creates the following situation:

Go to a wing/ sports bar, drink beer (at $4/ piece), eat overrated wings, and the kicker...

Always having to sit next to fans of the opposing team. The only thing worse is your table being next to those fans, and getting laughed at when you're walking out because you're the only ***-clown with a Tomlinson jersey, and every other punk has their weak-*** Farve jersey (it was hell folks). Let's hope the KC fans aren't out in force at this bar I've found that has NFL sunday ticket.

    That is all...

Since when did Denver become a very bad team?
Norv has a few more games to straighten this out.

Fear not. The valley is sometimes long and dark. All valleys come to an end. We still win the AFC West at 9-7.

Farve? Dude is a Living Legend. He pulled off another one.

Ayup - don't think Norv can get it done by himself though. Denver is currently leading the league in pass defense and sets at number three in overall defense behind the Patriots and Steelers. Plus we have to play them at THEIR house October 7th.

Denver barely escaped the Bills and Raiders, and got beat by Jacksonville. I don't see them as a powerhouse right now.

Not a powerhouse. But not a team to be taken lightly.

Focus on the Chiefs, the Donkies will happen in its own time.

I can't find the "very concerned about our coach's ability to get the team prepared for Sunday, but firing the HC mid season would be stupid regardless" option.

I guess the "3 game mulligan" option will have to do even though that incorrectly suggests that I currently have faith in Norv.

This isn't meant as defense of Cotrell (because his defense sucks thus far, to put it lightly) but.....if we fire him who takes his place?

    Ron Rivera!!!!!
I love that he knows the 4-3, played in the 46 for 9 years and is now learning the 3-4

I would LOVE! to have a defensive coordinator who knows multiple defenses and can have many different looks during the course of a game. It would be a HUGE improvement over Cottrells vanilla outside pass rush 3-4 defense with no pre-snap movement, no stunts, no confusions of any kind

If not Rivera, then how about Wayne Nunnelly?? Hes done an amazing job with our DL and like Rivera, knows more than one kind of defense.
Also, AJ/Spanos apparently have alot of faith in Pagano, which would lead me to believe he would be a justifiable DC candidate

Ill take anyone of those 3 over Cottrell

This is going to be a dog fight all the way to the playoffs.

I love this clip and we should take heed.
